The food was excellent. I really thought it was going to be expensive but it was unbelievably affordable. The staff was so incredibly friendly. I also chatted with the owner and she was incredibly nice and grateful that I came to eat in her place. You can tell she has a lot of passion for people and truly wants the best dining experience for each and every guest.
I love this quaint, neighborhood cafe. This was only my 2nd time here. My husband and I were in the area so just happened to pop in around dinner on a week night to grab something light to eat. Neither of us are big eaters and it was a bit early, so we shared a mixed green salad with grilled peaches and the halibut as our entree. Both were perfect-fresh ingredients, lots of flavor, and well-prepared. Plenty of food but we decided to hang out a bit longer rather than get mixed up in rush hour traffic so we then ordered (and shared) the rice and tofu bowl with kimchi. I was just going to have a couple of bites as I wasn't hungry any longer but no way- it was way too good to not have more. Service was impeccable. I wish I could remember our server's name to give him credit. Fun, low key vibe. Can't wait to go back.
It was my first night in LA. I went because I could walk from where I was staying. I found the food to be very good and fresh tasting. I had the Poke bowl when came fairly quickly. I had to wait a little for the dessert I ordered but it was not an excessive amount of time to wait seeing as several parties had come in between the time I ordered dinner and the time I ordered the dessert. Overall, I was quite pleased with my first dining experience in Los Angeles.
