First of all, it's open on a Monday which is a little unusual for your average fine dining establishment. Five stars for being open on Mondays. I also liked the 'inside a craftsman" aspect, since my date had recently reminisced about a similarly designed place in San Diego that we went to years ago.
Another nice part is the liquor license and fully stocked bar, plenty of la spots are beet and wine only. The food choices were great, very hearty. The chicken liver app was a stand out and the mains (pork chop, fish and chips, shrimp and grits) were warmly received. The shrimp and grits were a little too "spicy" but I use the term in quotes because of the sensitivity of the palate of the diner.
Amazing! This place was adorable. The food was delicious, and our server was lovely. I had the confit dug leg, and it was so good. Somehow this dish felt light and was so satisfying. Dining companion had the burger and was also delighted by it. We will absolutely be back!
Amazing food. Great ambiance. Super friendly staff. Run don’t walk, and would hurry back. Drinks are elevated but easy to drink (watch out!) and the seasonal fare simply is divine. If you’re going before summer ends, the summer corn risotto was by far the standout and did make me tear up a bit.
All of the patrons were kind and in a great mood. We weren’t afraid to ask what other tables got and we got a few questions ourselves. Overall definitely a place to put on your Must-Go list.
Good experience, will return. LB nailed the braised beef, I'll order this again. My partner had the burger, which was a typical experience for an upscale burger, did not disappoint. The cocktails are always novel here, and usually delicious. Service was good, and the atmosphere is lively. I consistently have a good time here.
I'm new to the area and this place was recommended to me by a local. What a great find! The staff from the moment we walked up were so nice and welcoming. The wait staff were quick to greet us and help make suggestions from their amazing amazing menu. We went with the seasonal short rib with dumplings and caccio e pepe pasta. Both were absolutely delicious. The highlight however was the carrots with pesto. Wow were those great! The restaurant is warm and cozy with a great wrap around patio for outdoor seating. I really look forward to becoming a regular here.
Stopped in tonight (Friday) for dinner for my first time and had a very pleasant experience. I'm not in Eagle Rock often so it's always nice to mix up areas where you eat, it's probably my favorite part of dining in LA; all the amazing options in every direction. The look of it is a smaller bungalow style home with lights strewn all around which really makes a dreamy, and romantic vibe. Daniella was a great server and was prompt and polite.
I started off with the wedge salad which had a really nice chipotle dressing to it on the bottom, which is definitely new for me for a wedge but it worked and was delicious. For my entree I had to go with the special which was the California Halibut. It was cooked very well and the portion size was perfect. Honestly I loved the dish but wish the side with it was different, leeks aren't my favorite but I still ate most of them. Topped off the meal with the brioche bread pudding and it was moist and hit the spot. I chose to not get the ice cream with it and honestly the creme fraiche on top was the perfect combo. Price was fair as well. The parking lot is enough for about 2 cars, 1 of which being handicapped, but I was able to find parking close across the street.
I would recommend to anyone and it would especially be a good call for a date or a gathering with friends.

To Little Beast we went, for my love’s birthday,
To a cozy lil feast, we found our way,
Incredible food, unique cocktails too,
I loved it all, and so will you.
Crocodile's tears, I had to try,
And an elderflower gimlet, indeed caught my eye,
Delicious and unique, they did not disappoint,
To try as much as we could, we made it a point.
Roasted mushroom and black truffle risotto,
And other dishes, we couldn't say no,
Every bite, a burst of flavor,
An adventure for our taste buds, we did deeply savor.
Little Beast, oh how you impressed,
Our dining experience, you truly blessed,
Cozy and intimate, a place I now adore,
For my love's birthday we came, but we’ll be back for more.
Parking is a bit dicey. We got there fairly early and found plenty of street parking but when we left it was pretty scarce. No reservation and we were seated immediately, but again we came early so YMMV. Ordered the Grilled Pork Chop with pear mostarda (absolutely delicious 5 ⭐), Toasted Garlic -Parsley Fries with a quite spicy ranch (I loved it but my spouse found it too spicy, 4 ⭐), and Crispy Brussel Sprouts (we both enjoyed the complex but delicious sauce 4.5 ⭐). Service was attentive but not overly so. I originally thought the menu was a bit pricey but I changed my mind after seeing the generous portions - in my opinion a good value. We're likely to come back to explore more of the menu.
Charming and intimate. Delicious food.
Off a main road so outdoor seating is subject to the traffic noise but shortly after it all becomes white noise and you end up enjoying being outdoors.
Pretty small parking lot.
Comfortable back/side patio. Wonderful service. Tasty food. The cocktails were a bit sweet for my taste (more a reflection of my choice, I’m sure they have less sweet drinks).
Good food. Good wine selection. Nice patio in good weather. Service was prompt and attentive. Limited parking. Park across the street. The side streets are narrow and posted. We'll be back.
Great place to eat. I got the special of the day which was the pork tenderloin and it was delicious. Had a tequila Mexican mule and it was refreshing and delicious just the right amount of alcohol. Great vibe I would recommend to anyone on a date or as a group outing.
My husband and I have been here many times, the food is good and the service is usually fine but we often wait a while to get our food and the patio is very buggy. If you can sit inside, much better experience with less mosquito bites!
Amazing foods and cocktails. Hannah is by far an amazing attribute to the team. All staff friendly and great service. Great place for date night!
This place does wonders everytime I visit it.I love vibes, I love amazing quality food, I love alcohol, and I freaking love amazing service. Sadly didn't make a reservation but no worries I was not going to leave empty handed. They gave us an amazing bar experience. We had an amazing bartender, thank you to the staff for keeping us entertained and taking us on a food journey. This place hit all the right spots. JUST GO AND EXPERIENCE THIS!
The bf surprised me by taking me here for Valentine's day. It's not noticable from the street at night so I was skeptical about where he was actually taking me.
We parked across the street and walked over to the restaurant that looks like a little corner house. We had reservations of course so within 5 minutes we were seated outdoors that was well covered.
The food we ordered: lobster & shrimp salad, steak tartar, filet, pork and dessert. We also had beer.
The food was delicious. I was so full. I'd come back to try other dishes.
The food and drinks were delicious! We got the mac and cheese, burger, and fried chicken. Would definitely recommend all three! I would have the mac and cheese for every single meal if I could.
Really great for a date night, Valentine's day in our case. Food was tasty and decent enough size. Lots of hipsters- think I was the only one without a mustache there lol. Price was expected for the atmosphere and quality. Make sure to make a reservation.
