This place is a true gem. When the owner found out we had never been there he told us the tale of how Outlaws came to be, and how his vision was to create a Mom and Pop restaurant with ingredients so carefully selected that no additional condiments would be necessary. Here's the thing: I eat ketchup on everything. I'm entirely addicted. When the owner asked me to forego ketchup I started to get nervous because I had never enjoyed a burger without it. I decided to take a bite without ketchup and was stunned. This is the BEST burger I had ever had and I didn't need ketchup! Everything he had said about hand selecting his ingredients and only working with top tier vendors is true. At the end of our experience we were exchanging hugs (the owner is seriously that personable and treats you like an old friend), and when he found out we hadn't had dessert he ushered us back in for a complimentary brownie. If you're looking for a place that offers phenomenal food and top-notch customer service with a true Mom and Pop feel, look no further. This restaurant deserves all the stars in the world!
This place is amazing. Honestly the physical location leaves a lot to be desired, but the owner and staff overcome that in abundance. I had the Bandito burger and was blown away, it was so good. The steak fries are basically a potato cut into 4 pieces and fried (the garlic seasoning is great) which I could see someone not liking, but I enjoyed immensely. The iced tea is very strong, but excellent. The two-vbite brownies have a cinnamon and chile (I think) kick to them, which is something I don't usually go for, but it works here.
But beyond the food, this place has an incredibly friendly vibe. The owner was out on the porch and just sat chewing the fat with me and my friends for a while after we finished eating. The menu has a blurb about "no customers, just hungry friends" or some such. I have seen other places make similar claims, this place actually lives up to it.
This place is great. I had the Mother Load which is their version of a Sloppy Joe. Had a great bite to it and was more food than I could eat. It was also a nice surprise to have the owner Erik, join us at our table with some wonderful conversation. I recommend Outlaws. Make sure you give it a try as well, you won't be disappointed.

The Bandito Burger is AMAZING!!! This is by far the best burger I've had in the Los Angeles area. This does not taste like restaurant food but a home cooked meal. The outstanding food is matched only by the impeccable service. Not only does the food taste home cooked but the staff treats you like family. I will definitely be coming back here.
The brownie is to die for...not revealing the secret theme ingredient! I had their "Jailbird" chicken sandwich and it was great! Southwestern flavor and the best pretzel bun! Support local food!

Good Comfort food in the Valley? Yes, this place was that and then some. Sadly, it has closed its doors.
Loved it the best hamburger I have ever eaten will definately go back again anf there garlic chips and the yummy brownie at the end :)
Miss this place. Best burgers ever! Nothing anything like it anywhere.
By far the best burger I have ever had. Woke up today still thinking about it!
Best food and service anywhere! Every bite had bursting flavor. The Hawaiian Burger was bomb.
One of the best places to eat a real burguer, the food is so tasty and awesome, definitely coming back for more

Awesome service, friendly staff and owner. Great food always!!
First time here, split Meatball Sub and Philly Cheese Steak. One of the best Meatball subs I've ever had. Great bread homemade French roll, 17 ingredients in the meatball. Was a great spicy meatball. Philly cheesesteak on the same homemade French roll was tender and juicy. Excellent highly recommen…
the best of everything on the menu my favorites are in some pasta dishes like road runner pasta 1.white sauce 2red sauce the bonanza 2. and 3rd the good the bad the ugly are my recemendations.
My friends have been talking this place up for months, and now I finally see why! The burger I had (the Bandito) was incredible, cooked to perfection, and unlike anything I've tasted. The chips were excellent as well, but will have to try the steak fries next time. The wait staff was incredibly friendly & attentive and the owner even sat and chatted with us for a bit. It was clear how much pride and care has been put into the place. Oh and save room for the "after-burner" brownie which was pretty unique, though probably not tasty for everyone as it is a bit spicy (but I enjoyed it). Top notch!
This place is awesome. The signature dishes on the menu are really tasty and you can't go wrong with your choice. I had the bandito burger and it was really well made and very tasty. Mac and cheese is straight amazing. The owner usually hangs out and talks to the customers. He's really nice and makes you feel welcome. He's happy that you are at his place and he takes care of you. If I wasn't afraid of having a heart attack, I would eat here everyday.
We had the outlaw burger and wild salmon burger which was fantastic, but just a tad overdone. It was still DELICIOUS!! This place has possibly the BEST Mac n cheese I ever had! Had a good kick to it! Nothing like I've ever tasted! The owner, Erik is very sincere and welcoming! He even sat down with us and made us feel at home. Staff is awesome too!
My girlfriend brought home leftovers from Outlaws and the leftovers were so good I had to make my way out to Van Nuys last week to try it fresh with her. Without a doubt, one of the best burritos I've ever had, some of the best service I've ever seen, and incredible value for everything. I believe Erik was the owner and, despite being busy, he made plenty of time with each customer to talk about the food, the restaurant -- very welcoming. Definitely worth the trip out that way.
One of the best burgers in LA, no doubt! Great burgers, excellent chips, and attentive staff. The owner is really nice and makes the rounds to make sure you are satisfied and having a good time. The brownies are a must. I've never had any like them before.

A top notch burger at a good price. Sides are also delicious - thick cut fries or chips. You can't go wrong with either. Service is probably the friendliest I have encountered at any business. They're more than just burgers, but didn't even bother to try any thing else on subsequent visits. The burgers we're so good I could not bring myself to order something else.
GREAT food!! My only issue is how anal they are about ordering well-done, substitutions, or leaving an ingredient out... this bothers me, but doesn't affect me because I absolutely love their food as it is. I can't pinpoint one item I'd recommend, as it is all really good, or at least sounds good. The Hawaiian Burger is one of a kind. So that, try that! Prices are fair for what you're getting.
Holy this place is good. On an unassuming corner across the street from city hall sits this little gem. I had the Pilgrim burger which was cooked near perfectly and served with some awesome wedges and probably the best ready mix side of ranch I've ever had. Added some iced tea and enjoyed.
The atmosphere is pretty good. Place is kind of small but the outside seating made up for it. This place is good, reasonably priced, and worth a try.
Get ready to get stuffed! The food here is delicious! If you get their fries, they're endless, but good luck getting through more than one order. The fries are more like wedges and they're a quarter of a potato each. The owner is super friendly and even came and chatted with our table.
This place is by far the best burger place to hit the valley. The food is amazing and you will have plenty to choose from for what ever mood your in. The service is great and they make sure that you walk away 100% satisfied. Erik the owner is very present and fills you in on any info you want to know about his restaurant and his amazing food. Most importantly he makes you feel right at home. If you have not been to outlaws cafe I suggest you give this place a try and you will walk away very satisfied.
Our server was quick, attentive, and very nice.
The I had the portobello mushroom burger which was the best non meat burger I've ever had. The flavors were incredible, it was juicy, and filling.
I tried a bite of my bf's burger which was absolutely juicy and one of the best burgers I've ever had.
To top it off, I left my phone there and the waitress looked for it and kept it up at the front for me. Thank you for your honesty!
The food was amazing. I had the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, west coast style with Chipotle mayo on the side. It was comparable to the sandwiches I got in Philly a year ago. My husband got The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. The portion was huge and the dish was wonderful. He ordered the red sauce option ans the waitress brought him a side of white sauce in case he wanted to try the mixed sauces. Best meal he has had in his week here in LA. Holly is an amazing waitress and Erick, the owner, comes to each table to check on the patrons. It was a pleasure meeting both of them and eating their delicious food. Everything was finished off with a wonderfully sweet and slightly spicy brownie. Tender and chocolately with a hint of heat.
The food is incredible and the owner, Erik is such a great guy! He wants everyone to feel that they are coming to their friend's house when they come to the restaurant & that's exactly how you feel. The food is so full of flavor & quality ingredients you will be back again & again!!
The quality of the food is like no other. The Outlaw Burger is 1 pound of heavenly goodnees. And the chips are home made I recommend the mixed flavor. Not in the mood for a burger the Wild wild west mac n cheese is really the best mac n cheese ever. Go try it for yourself if you don't believe me.
Outlaws Cafe has the best burger I have ever eaten in my life!..(47 years)...no exaggeration. The Bandito Burger I had yesterday was flat out fantastic and I have never had anything to compare. That is saying a lot and the staff is fantastic too. I listened to Holly's recommendation and she definitely steered me in the right direction! Highly, Highly recommend this little jewel of a restaurant.
Absolutely amazing food, went here on a whim because we were hungry and it was on the way... Had the Buffalo Balls (meatballs) and they were hands down the best meatballs I have ever had.
Small but comfortable restaurant with casually proficient wait staff. Worth your while to dine here!!
I constantly travel, and subsequently eat at restaurants throughout, the coast from San Diego to San Francisco.
Outlaw's Bandito is by far THE best burger I've had anywhere. Then, after months of hesitating to stray from what I knew, I tried the meat loaf (buffalo chips) and was equally impressed. And the list goes on.
Coupled with a warm staff that genuinely cares about taking care of customers, this place is unbeatable.
I can't recommend it highly enough.
The food here is very unique and the portions are huge. I've been here about 4 times now and I get something different every time and this restaurant hasn't failed me. Erik and the staff here are very kind and helpful! I highly recommend and the brownie is a MUST!
