Tentenyu Ramen, an import from Kyoto, specializes in Chicken Ramen with Tsukemen (larger dipping) noodles. Like many of the ramen places on the Sawtelle strip the actual restaurant is fairly small but has a great contemporary Japanese design with a nice patio area for those cool summer nights. I ordered the Chashu Tsukemen and was amazed at the amount of noodles they brought out! The broth was absolutely delicious and had a distinctly sweet teriyaki taste that wasn't overpowering. The service was very quick and our drinks were constantly refilled. Also, unlike other Ramen places, they do accept credit cards.
Tentenyu Ramen has the best tasting chicken broth. They serve both cold and hot Ramen soups.
The restaurant is kind of small but they do have indoor and outdoor seating.
Great ramen and broth! The cha siu was tender as well. Portion is decent, service was nice. Some of the topping should be free though. $1 for corn, $1 to make it spicy and $1 to make the soup rich (they put more pork fat), I think these options should be free. Other than that, everything's good!
