I've dined at Heritage Tavern 5-6 times and every dining experience I've had there has been wonderful. Recently, we went during Restaurant Week. . I loved the summer corn soup, cocktails, my pork dish and the dessert. Our server was friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. We also went recently for BRUNCH with some friends (and all of our kids (5)) and the food was amazing. Our server was great and very accommodating with all of our children on one end of the table.
Heritage Tavern is the first restaurant I tell out of town people to visit! and they have a great variety of foods beyond pork (check out the menu!). I'm going to try the Potato Gnocchi on my next visit. I highly recommend this restaurant! I feel like these days, the only time people write reviews are when they are negative so I wanted to share my positive experiences here. Heritage Tavern (and Chef Dan Fox) is a restaurant in Madison, that I feel, truly cares about delivering an exceptional dining experience for their customers and this community.
Great food, great service. One of the best burgers I've ever had. A wonderful bloody Mary with beer chaser. The best bacon I've ever eaten! Good service. Quite the experience!
I wanted to enjoy a birthday meal in Madison at a different Restaurant. We drove to Downtown Madison, parked our car then tried to get a table at several nearby Restaurants, but we were unsuccessful because of their wait time. So we kept looking and found the Heritage Tavern. From the outside it looked like a Bar, the menu was different and there was no waiting for a table. Our meal, wine, stout & Port was enjoyable. I had accomplished my goal of enjoying my Birthday dinner at a new Restaurnat. We will definitely go to the Heritage Tavern next time we are in down town Madison.
