We came up to Madison all the way from Rockport,Texas. Have to say that this was the best fish and chips we have ever had, and I live on the coast. Nice light batter just right for malt vinegar. Get the colcannon as a side and use the real butter they offer to make it super tasty. The cheese curds were some of the best I had in Wisconsin. Their signature Irish Ale is a perfect balance for the meal. All the staff was friendly and we enjoyed it enough that we returned the next night. Great selection of tap beers and speciality drinks to round out the evening outside on on the patio. We had a service dog with us and they didn't bat an eye. If you come to Madison take the drive up to Erin's and skip the crowded downtown area and enjoy an evening on the patio.
Been there 6 times and every time the food was excellent o matter what any of us have had. Love the Mac n Cheese, quesadilla, salads are outstanding, have had both appetizer platters, etc... Service has been very friendly and timely. Only exception was once our waitress forgot our appetizer, and then they made it up for it by reducing our bill, so I was very pleased with their customer service. Even though the place is huge, the separate rooms give it a great, cozy atmosphere. I would highly recommend!
One complaint, it took about 15 minutes for someone to get to us at a time when there wasn't many people in the restaurant. I will say this though after someone got to us the service was great and the food was great also! Personally I don't recommend the chocolate cake because of how dry it was but everything else and I'm sure the whole menu is great!
