Amazing view of Lake Chautauqua! Amazing food at great prices. We both ordered a Chautauqua Stinger thinking we’d take half home for lunch tomorrow. My husband ate his whole sandwich it was so good. Food was hot and fresh. Bread was delicious and Josh, head chef, used yellow and orange pepper grilled to perfection. The loaded sweet potato was like a dessert with broiled marshmallows on top. Ask about an orange creamsicle drink for only $1.50. They also have a Sunday brunch for $10 with food on the buffet and eggs cooked to order from the kitchen. The restaurant is only open Wednesday thru Sunday and is well worth your visit.
I am a Mayville/Chautauqua local, and I love to go to the NEW House on the Hill, which I understand is under new management. Which is good, because some people I know told me they went last summer and would never go back. The new owner's name is Wendy, I met her during my last visit. She was very cool and I really enjoyed our conversation. I had never gone there until this summer, and all I can say is wow. This is a cool place! They have interesting menu items, a good selection of beer, wines & spirits, and a beautiful view of Chautauqua Lake. A Cuban Panini, Southern Tier IPA, and a comfy seat out on the deck equates to a wonderful and relaxing break from the monotony of trying to be in business here in western NY. They also have some very interesting artwork on display, I believe it is from a rehabilitation program at The Resource Center. I think it is the perfect touch, it adds a good vibe to the restaurant.
Great sandwich...great customer service
