Fantastic new restaurant opening in Downtown Miami. Not your typical Mexican - it's a great mix of authentic/classic Mexican flavors with a Miami flavor. Four of us went in tonight - we sampled a few tacos, had the guac n chips, the grit bollitos (excellente!), the Bok Choi salad, and then had the family meal tonight which was a frid chicken tinga wicth some vegetable sides. The fried chicken was so juicy and flavorful, and just the right spiciness. The al pastor taco is one of the BEST I've ever had. There's a lot of variety on the menu and it's nice they have different tacos and dishes on special each day. My taste buds left very happy. =)
The decor is beautiful - feels very homey inside, like you're in someone's dining room. It's a real nice design. And no problem at all finding parking, as there's meters near the restaurant (I was worried about this).
We were all very satisfied with this restaurant and will definitely recommend it to our friends. I will definitely be back for more soon.
We just moved to downtown Miami and are so excited that this AMAZING Mexican place is just around the corner. Tortillas are made fresh, tacos are great, and the pork gorditas are particularly delicious. Service is super friendly and helpful--really good recommendations from our server. We're looking forward to many more visits to Centro Taco!!!
We came across it by accident while we were walking downtown Miami. It was closed and had to come back the next day beofre we were leaving town. Our experience was great! Well worth the wait! Not too many people were there, but it was early lunch on a Tuesday. I also feel like not enough people know about it. The decor is well thought and greatly designed.
There's a lady making fresh tortillas in the back of the restaurant, but for everyone to see! Which I feel was awesome. Our food was fresh, well seasonned and the price was right. We started with fresh guacamole, and handmade fried tortilla chips. WOW! I had never had fresh friend homemade tortilla chips and believe me, I feel like I've been missing out on my mexican culinary experience. They had lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I have the fried avodaco with black bean purée. It was beautiful and good! I also had the taco of the day (cochinita pibil) which was amazing! My husband had the soup of the day, and he loved it too. It was modern twist on Mexican food. Knowing our food, especially our latin food. I can say hands down, this place is the best we had in Miami!
