We had a wonderful dinner here last night.
Our server was super nice and professional (sorry, I forgot her name, the lady who had a classy slicked back updo). The watermelon mocktail she recommended was impressive. Food tasted great and the portions were also generous. The appetizer bread and duck confit were just out of this world. And don’t miss the desserts. We were stuffed after finishing so much food but still tried creme brûlée. You can never go wrong with French desserts.
This is absolutely a highlight of our vacation in Destin. Try it you will thank me later.
We had a great dinner. Olga was our server, and she was very attentive and did not rush us. We started with the crab beignets, which were quite tasty.
Then we had the shrimp and grits. This was mediocre, in my opinion. There was no real flavor to the dish, and the shrimp were not seasoned well. The dish did have mushrooms, which added some flavor, but I wouldn't order this again.
Next, we split the Brussel sprouts Caesar salad. This was probably the best thing we had here. They were cooked perfectly, and the pairing was amazing.
Entrées we had the scallop dish and the filet mignon. Both of these were good but nothing extraordinary. The Carolina rice with the scallops was prepared very well, and the potatoes and onions with steak were very good as well.
Peach cheesecake to finish it off was delicious and not overwhelming.
The first order of bread that came out was so hard and disappointing that we sent it back. The server Olga sent out new bread, and it was 10 times better and fresh.
This was a $300 plus dinner, so be prepared, but it was worth it.
Visiting Miramar Beach and celebrating our wedding anniversary with the kids. For Tuesday night, this place was busy, so a reservation is recommended. Good food and attentive service. Highly recommended.
