Sunday brunch is my favorite and 5 has definitely become my place. Beignets-there are no words. The crab cake Benedict with the spinach salad was perfection. Perfectly poached eggs-like pudding and delicate crab cakes heavenly flavored with perfectly balanced ingredients. Without a doubt, the best I’ve ever eaten (& this comes from a seafood family girl who married a family with a wholesale seafood company so I do know a little about good seafood). Great atmosphere and fabulous choice of decor. Really solid service from the kindest waitress. Great place downtown to never pass up.

Fabulous experience. We are traveling from out of town and chose this place based on family friend recommendation. They do not take reservations, so we walked in on a Saturday night and were seated right away. From the moment we got there, we were greeted with such warmth from Colin who turned out to be the Manager. His food descriptions were on point. There are 5 apps, 5 entrees and 5 wine selections in a seasonally rotating menu. First we got amazing chicken quesadillas that my husband said he could eat all day. Then, I chose the burger and my husband got the fish special of the day. Turns out, one of the partners in the restaurant owns a fish market in Destin, FL so their selection is constantly fresh and changing. Both meals were so good and then came dessert. They give you cookies free at the end but if you want something fantastic, order the bread pudding. It's not listed in the menu as it's their only dessert but it's incredible. We ended up wanting to tell the owners how much we appreciated Colin's service, so we asked if the owner was there. One of the partners Cris was there so we chatted with him to tell him about our great experience. He was so nice and thrilled and offered to tour us to the new restaurant they opened up the block, Chucks's Place. Then he showed us a third restaurant they have under construction. We felt like VIPs! Definitely recommend 5. Every town should have this place! The decor is really neat, too. They have lots of chandeliers hanging as decor from estate sales in Europe and some great hats and t-shirts as well! Wednesday is fish taco night, we'll be back before we are done visiting Mobile!
