I have lived in Nashville for 3 year and driven past this place 100+ times. Today I finally stopped in to check it out. I severely regret waiting so long. It's a similar setup to a Chipotle or Subway, but good. I love it because I hate going to Mexican restaurants and having to guess what ingredients are in my food. The selling point for me though is that the owner came out and asked about my meal, genuinely concerned with the quality of the entire experience. Not like that attempt to care Wendy's has implemented where some $7/hr fry cook circles the restaurant once and doesn't even really stop to hear your answer. In the end, GREAT food, fairly priced, clean, easy, simple rewards (buy 9, 10th free) and overall good people. This will be my new regular lunch stop.
I see a lot of reviews mentioning child sized portions and it makes me think someone is 1 star bombing them on google. I've been eating there since they were named Cocinas and I always leave full. The burritos are very large portion wise and the food tastes excellent. I've also had the taco salad once, as well as the tacos and both were good. You get, with the much less than 3$ combo option, a drink and chips with your choice of salsa or cheese dip included. I actually pay a lot less there than I do when I eat at Qdoba.
I love this place. 12 dollar lunch special for a "super combo" which includes the biggest burrito or quesadilla I've ever been served in a restaurant. You also get chips, queso and a drink. I am a 6ft 180lb man and this lasts for two days lunch.
Love the ladies that work here too, very sweet.
