Went here because it was a cool name. Place was really good. Sushi was presented great and tasted even better. One of the best places I've been to for sushi and look forward to coming back again. Try the DKD roll. I just wish they sold t-shirts.

We had a wonderful experience this afternoon. The food was delicious and at a great price, and our server was great - he was super friendly and helpful, and he really knew the menu. We will definitely be back.

Great change and taste!!!. Love it... has a variety for everyone ... I love the sushi! They also a variety of menu items for everyone. Low key environment, but trendy for New Albany... like the laid back atmosphere - had a great waiter (twice). He was very friendly, very helpful to suggest menu items, and was very attentive (but not in a smothering way )

Definitely have made this a place to take our group - love it! Don't think it's only sushi - it's not - EVERYTHING is great and worth trying - Each time we go I try something new - it's all good - great selection of beer as well as mixed drinks. Try it soon!

They are getting there!. I have been to the Dragon King's Daughter in New Albany, twice. I loved the house salad and found the dressing freshly made - unlike other restaurants whose ginger dressing tastes like it's from a bottle.

They offer a fusion of flavors from south of the border and the far East. We loved everything. For the tapas, the fried cheese gyoza was incredibly unique with its blackberry vinaigrette. We decided to try something funky from the makisushi menu and tried the Italian Picnic. Prosciutto, asparagus tempura, basil, and a unique mayo.

I found the staff friendly and informative at both locations. If you want a fresh, creative approach to sushi and tapas, then give Dragon King's Daughter a try.

So excited they're finally open!. DKD is my favorite Louisville restaurant. So, I was ecstatic when I found out that they were planning to open a second location in my town! After much delay, they finally opened their doors this week.

It was good! Quality is on par with the Highlands location. The menu is slightly different; it's somewhat shorter but with lots of new options not previously available. They don't have any happy hours in place yet but the server I spoke with said they planned to do a midday one sometime soon.

All in all, this is a very welcome addition to downtown New Albany. If you like the original location, you'll be right at home here. And if you've never tried it, you're in for a nice surprise!

Every time I've been it's been a great experience. Great music, drinks and food. First pic is the 3:10 to Yumi, 2nd is the Cooked Makasushi Chicken Teriyaki, can't remember the 3rd, and 4th was the on valentine's menu, mini cheesecake with raspberries and a blackberry sauce. And you can't forget the fancy Japanese toilets in the bathroom.

We come here all the time! It’s our favorite sushi spot. The staff are incredible. The sushi is by far the best around- and this new albany location is 10x better than the Louisville location with a different menu and way different vibe inside. I recommend the Robert Deniroll, I think it’s the best on the menu. We also love the elotes (Mexican street corn) from the Robata grill. The only thing we don’t love about this place is it’s impossible to get through on the phone (it always just rings and no one answers) and making a reservation is difficult. They were doing Facebook reservations for a while and now they might be doing some other online system we are going to try next time. But it’s always crowded on the weekend, so get there early or try to make a reservation. It’s totally worth it!

Food was delicious and all the staff were fantastic! We had Shoyu, miso soup, seaweed salad, kimchi beef, the black widow roll and the tempura snicker bar for dessert. Everything was great. We were just passing through but if we lived local we’d definitely be back!

I thought I didn’t like sushi. A friend of mine told me it must be because I had never had good sushi then and proceeded to drive me here. I’m so glad she did! They have cooked and uncooked varieties as well as quite a bit of other options. It has a touch of “fusion” with some items having a Mexican flair. The ambiance is nice. They have a warming bidet toilet seat. Haha, so if you’ve never had that experience, here’s your chance! The prices are about mid-range.

Food was amazing! Would not recommend for celiacs but what's always an option is chicken fried rice, which I what if normally get but I smudged on my diet just this once 😂 I believe they have vegetarian options (not sure about vegan). My sister and I both got the Crunch Time, it has: fried asparagus, eel sauce, crunch, spicy crab, and cream cheese; then my sister got a bowl of ramen and we shared a bowl of edamame. Only thing I'd change would be have them bring the roll out actually warm, that was what they were lacking on, but everything else was great!

An unexpected find. Saw good reviews but didn’t expect to experience great sushi when visiting Louisville. There can be a wait but it’s worth it. Would have ate here twice but ran out of days during our visit. That’s how much we liked it.

They have several vegan options. That always makes me give five stars! I did order extra mushrooms and it did not seem like much were added. I had to order extra again and got a small bowl. Other than that everything was great. Service was awesome.
