This cafe is absolutely amazing! :) The staff is so friendly and inviting. Everything is made from scratch and is so fresh and delicious. The lemonade and biscuits and gravy are my absolute favorite! But I also recommend the Ruben and the chicken salad sandwich! Love and highly recommend this place! :)

Stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The cafe is one of a kind and very Unique. Displayed artwork all around, the owner is on site and very friendly. Gave us a tour of the art gallery and talked to us about the artists. The food was what we all craved. Would definitely return. A fresh experience.

Great food and atmosphere. The Bourbon French Toast is especially yummy. We enjoyed talking with the owner and viewing the artwork. It's open seven days a week.

My mom and I enjoyed a late breakfast here of homemade biscuits, sausage gravy, and home fries. Everything was made fresh and was delicious. Prices were great, too! We were surprised to eat for under $15! Wow! Best of all--they were open on Monday, when almost everything else was closed downtown! Owner was very friendly, too! We will be back! Thank you for the great experience!

I tried this today for the first time and was sorry it took me so long to go there! They offer breakfast until 2:00pm, which is not easy to find in the area. The German Farmer's Skillet is delicious; the potatoes are sliced very thin and cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed a side order of country ham, which was excellent. It's easily one of the best breakfasts I've found in the area for a long time. Highly recommended!

The food was fresh and homemade. I enjoyed my tuna sandwich with tomato basil soup. The Reuben is also very good. A quaint and eclectic environment. A must try for breakfast or lunch in historic downtown New Albany.

Delightfully cozy and surrounded by a lovely art gallery. Changing menu offers an interesting variety! Right across the street from TheatreWorks of Southern Indiana, so perfect for a pre-show dinner. We’ll be back!

Food was pretty good, service was great. It's a very small restaurant, and the walls are covered in original art, paintings, drawings, etc and everything is for sale. Definitely a unique little find. Breakfast burrito was ok, I had hoped for something a bit bigger. The fried potatoes were great though. Green eggs and ham - sadly, I didn't really like. Bourbon French Toast captured our attention, but didn't have much special flavor that we hoped for. And if you like your syrup served warm, you should request it (ours wasn't).

Tucked away within the heart of New Albany is a gem called Cafe 157. The food was amazingly good, everyone enjoyed their meals - you could go for that alone; however, this restaurant provides a cozy atmosphere that serves as a combined art gallery and dining experience. We were fortunate- for Father's Day, the place was reservation only and we got the last reservation of the day so had the place to ourselves. We were also served by Linda (who owns the place) so had amazingly good conversation throughout. After we ordered, she invited us to make ourselves at home and browse the art on the walls. I enjoy formal dining experiences but this was a crossover where it felt like we were welcomed into someone's home -- simply amazing. The service was perhaps the best I've had in a decade, not merely because we were served attentively but because it was done with such care. To me, this is the sort of business we need more of: it has that special something that, try as we might, we cannot mass produce by making multiple locations and nationwide franchises. It is small, it has an owner's perfect attention on it, it is unique, and just needs to be enjoyed where it is. Please visit and tell her I sent you - we'll definitely be back so might see you there.

This place is absolutely beautiful! Ms. Linda is a great cook!! Words can’t even explain on how delicious the food was along with the atmosphere. The only bad experience we had was that the waitress did not tell us the total. Just kind of took the card and swiped.

Best reuben sandwich any of us could remember having. This place is New Albany's best kept secret. Everything we ordered was delicious! And so much made from scratch! This place is obviously a labor of love and the passion the owners have shines through beautifully. Go here!!
