The Chelsea is a casual to formal restaurant. During our visit; The cheese burger we rated at a three star. The hamburger salad is okay and we rated it a 3 star and the daily soup I tasted. Parking can be extremely difficult during peek hours and festivals downtown. There is an elevator for the upstairs dining area. Wheel chair accessibility appear to be tricky in the downstairs dining area. There is a nice street view from the upstairs dining area. This restaurant facility is located inside an old historical building with a clean appearance and or modern environment. The staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere was the highlight for our visit.
I was lucky to find this restaurant in the quaint little town of New Bern.
They were packed. However, after a few minutes, I found a spot at the bar. The steak and shrimp looked amazing and I was ready for a great dinner.
I was not disappointed. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the goat cheese added a creamy, unique flavor profile.
Everything about this dish was spot on, and the customers were friendly and happy. This will be a restaurant I visit again.
Great food, wonderful service and the atmosphere in this historical building was incredible. We sat upstairs next to a window that overlooked the street below. They have a couple of gluten free options. These are not indicated on their menu, you must alert your service to your dietary restrictions, in which they were very accommodating. Our ribeyes were a large portion and cooked so perfectly that we didn't feel we need a knife. We would drive back any chance we get just to eat at this restaurant!
