Mitchells Making Memories

We went to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday. The parking, horrible.. until we googled where to park and it gave us info to a parking garage at a hotel.. so we got valet parking and walked through the hotel.. it was a very nice hotel though.. we’ve already made plans to stay there.. the restaurant was packed. No one greeted us when we walked in.. I had made reservations, so that made our wait much less than other people. The place was clean. The workers were friendly. Our server was also excellent. But he just seemed so overwhelmed with everything that he had to do. He explained how everything went with the menu and the cards to let them know if you wanted more meat or not.. the meats were very good. My husband and daughter enjoyed the salad bar, which is all we should have gotten because they didn’t enjoy a lot of the meats. For what we ate, it wasn’t worth what we paid. We did get the cheese bread, which was awesome. No refills on sodas. We ordered tea and it was never brought to our table. We had a side of what looked like French fries, but was just too hard to even chew. It is what it is.
Food was great but service was not. Perhaps it was because we happened to have the table at the corner ,but we kept getting skipped over. Felt like they forgot about us. All meat brought out to us kept coming out rare despite asking multiple times for medium well or well done meats. The salad bar is top notch and so was some of the cuts as well. Although it felt like we were sort of forgotten, everyone was still friendly and professional. Interior is very nice and elegant. I was told other locations usually aren't this subpar when it comes to service so we'll have to see.
$$$$$ Bartender was extremely nice and attentive while we waited for a table. Greeters at the entrance most definitely means some retraining. Other than that the service and food was nothing short than 5 stars spectacular.
