If you like BBQ and/or metal music you will dig this hidden gem. Be warned though, you may smell like BBQ for several days after leaving. But honestly, I'm ok with it. The folks at Black Label have been part of wining teams at Hogs for the Cause and you'll see why - down to the house made BBQ sauce. Metal Mondays and live music throughout the weekend make for great entertainment, whether you're a metal fan or not. Amazing food, good beer, great environment - definitely recommend this place for quick drink or a long night.
Pretty good sandwiches and little more fat on the brisket then I like but I'm super picky with food textures. The pulled pork was good that's the way I should've went times 2, overall good food.
Tucked in the neighborhood, just a few blocks off St Charles, is this gem of Texas BBQ. Brisket is a MUST try. I love the Crack Poppers - jalapeños deseeded, stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in candied bacon then smoked. The wings are great, too. They even smoke crawfish in season.
Their bloody Mary, the " Scary Mary", even comes with a rib!
Check the website before you go. Some nights are a set menu. Some nights are live bands (usually metal).
