Bouchon Bakery in the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle is a true secret to every New Yorker and in-the-know visitor. With a generous floor area on the third floor of the building, the café-bistro is easily accessible by the building escalators and elevators. The coffee, tea and chocolate drinks are of the best quality. The pastries and sandwiches are French-inspired, with a twist of urban New York flair, delightfully baked, always super fresh, and beautifully presented. The cream puff is one of my favorites. There is lovely seating overlooking the spacious building atrium, and a table service section where lunch and dinner is served. Do visit when you are in the Time Warner Center Building, or nearby.
During my two-week trip to NYC, I had my favorite almond croissant, one at a time every single day, at several bakeries. In my personal opinion, the flaky and buttery almond croissant I had at Buchon, was the best. And the sweet scent of generous almond marzipan paste like was the most delicious, not crazy sweet either. It really make me feeling as my best fantasy memory of wanting to go to NYC again after Covid thing ends.
At this point, it has become a pilgrimage to eat at this Bouchon when in NYC. Not a mall person, nor eating at a mall - this is the exception. Has never failed to deliver with the view of the park, people watching, and best of all the spectacular food and bakery. Great, swift, and thoughtful service. Lovely for brunch or late lunch especially. If you are a big party, make reservations, there is a wait, its a popular spot and always busy. The bar area is fantastic but not great for more than 2-3 people. Besides the seasonal delicious soups, won't point out other things on the menu; cause they all are pretty great; sandwiches, the salads, the seafood. Sampled them all pretty much and all good. Some dishes were a bit too large for me, but could be perfect size for you. Bon appetit!
