Great place for healthy and high-quality food! Everything is fresh and delicious and perfect if you just worked out. I love sitting at the bar (first come first serve) and the bar tender is so nice, so is the staff in general. It can get packed around brunch time in weekends, so better to reserve a spot.
I really like Australian cafes, and had been wanting to try Coco & Cru. It was just my luck, when the stars aligned, and I saw a Blackboard Eats deal for 30% off your bill. So I dragged my friend here one day after work for an early dinner. I actually originally wanted to try the green bowl that everyone had been raving about, but I had a void in my stomach that only a burger could fill. So I ended up ordering the Pat La Frieda 'Corner Shop' burger and 'made it Aussie' by adding beets and a fried egg. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and was nice and juicy. The only thing I didn't like was the brioche-y type bun. As you can imagine, this burger was quite messy. It's not exactly something a light and buttery (too buttery) bun would be able to handle. Most of the bottom turned into a soggy mush so I ended up eating it like an open-faced sandwich. The fries made up for it though. These were crisp on the outside, but soft on inside - reminiscent of McDonald's fries. Overall, it was still a pretty solid burger and I'd come back for it if they come up with some different bun options.
Tip - happy hour until 7 (I believe we got $8 aperol spritzes).
Coco and Cru is a wonderful place to grab brunch on a weekday. The servers were very helpful and polite. I had waffles with berries that were very fresh and bacon cooked to perfection. Note that the seats are a bit cramped.
