I used to eat at this place on a regular basis. One can get 4 different types of vegetarian curries, rice, naans, salads, pickles and tea under $8 (late night meal). Also makes high quality parathas (stuffed naans). The place is cramped as like other NYC restaurants.
Affordable Indian vegetarian restaurant in Upper West Side! Fresh bread and variety of prepared curries. Go for platter if you really want to try out everything in one evening! Remember the platter is a bit big for one meal but super tasty. A bit small place so I would suggest takeout. They do have seating area if you like to eat there!
It's a very homely restaurant. The food is like what you would get in most Indian homes. The food quality is great and the ambiance is extremely simple. Very economical compared to NYC standards, a must if you like Punjabi / North Indian cuisine. The service is fast and the staff are friendly.
