A hidden café and chocolatier located downtown at Hanover Square in the Financial District. Upstairs is Manon Café where the. staff is attentive and friendly. Every coffee order comes with a choice of a chocolate bonbon in either dark, milk or white.
Downstairs is where this Belgian chocolate store is located and here resistance is futile. Don't pretend you are on a diet or have taken a sudden vow to give up sugar. It won't work. Hypnosis may - but don't count on it. Most office workers who stop for a coffee break do not have the time to peruse the selections and that's understandable. I have difficulty leaving without a box tucked under my arm and at a pinch, with two or three pieces. I have been coming here since they opened so many years ago and frequented their store on Madison Avenue on a regular basis. As that store is now sadly closed, I'll be trekking down to Hanover Square much more. After all, I will be able to feast on the array of chocolates while sipping a latte
