OK coffee place with strange hours. Every once in a while I head here on the way to work to grab a coffee when I'm not in the mood for Starbucks. Coffee is decent and at only a few bucks is a good deal. I do like that they put steamed milk in it. Nice section of home made pastries, cookies, and croissants. Their iced coffee during hot summer days is a must for me on the way to work or when walking through Central Park on the weekend.
What I find strange is that they close on weird hours sometime in the mid afternoon. You would think with the Y across the street with all of its patrons they would keep it open to gather in more business. Even on weekends it closes early. I do have to say that staff is pleasant and will take care of you if you go there often, as last summer they whipped up my iced coffees as soon as I walked in.
Kind of narrow with some seating in a pleasant atmosphere. Just be sure to get there early before closing time, especially on weekends.
