Just like back in the day! Happy faces greeting us, the food was plentiful and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and fast. I am only here for a week, but I know I will eat here a few more times before I go back to Seattle.
Wow, what a find. Real food, real people, real diner. This place is off the charts when it comes to down home American food. The breakfasts are great! Best biscuits and gravy ever no oil and flour after taste. Real sausage and sage. Pork chop and eggs on senior menu satisfies with a capital S. Homemade soups really not from a can what a revelation. The staff are the kind of people you do not find any more. Alice and Bobby and the other waitresses are professional, friendly and have a knack for making you want to come back. Eunice and her husband run a restaurant that is rarely found in these parts. Denny's , IHOP, BC cafe and etc. could all take a lesson on how to treat customers and serve good food. Hope this place stays open for another 50 years.
My favorite hometown coffee shop! Kid friendly and lots of "over 50 crowd" . Lots of regulars!!! Friendly staff - clean place. Now.Great breakfasts including country gravy with a hint of sage and the best " mild" homade salsa for your eggs. If you don't see what you want..but you see the ingredients, then ask for it. Prices are modest and staff is friendly. I vote for Banana Pancakes (not on menu) served with peanut butter( on request) or Eggs Benedict or Oriental Chicken Salad with some added cilantro and green onion. They make great pork chops..never dry! Great veggie omelette and decent chile beans too. Love their home fries! Enjoy their homemade soups. Great white clam-chowder on Fridays. Open til 8 pm except Sunday only til 3 pm.
