Amazing! truly Irish pub experience, best hospitality Scott and Vicky), best food (we're talking gourmet Justin Murphy), best music (sessions and gigs) and the finest pint of Guinness this side of the Liffey!
Thanks for letting me sit in on things last night, can't wait to come back.
Even something that is already great can become something better, as evidenced by the "new" Claddagh Cottage Pub location. The renovated space retains all of the charm of the old pub, with more room, more tables and a longer bar. Great service, everyone is so friendly and professional and the food is delicious! Definitely the best Guinness pour in town, too...head there on a music night for sure, but any night you'll find friends and great fare. So worth the wait!
The new digs were reminiscent of the old pub but freshened up, which was nice. Of course, the Guinness pints were perfect, as expected. And the cottage pie was better than I remember from the old location....butter wafting up as the dish was placed in front of me by our lovely server, Patrick. Darren welcomed us at the door with a great smile.
We loved this pub when it was off the Curry Ford/Conway corner, but even more so now in the new building all cleaned up. We will absolutely make this our new/old neighborhood hang.
This is a perfect example of how you reinvent the old without taking away all the charm and authenticity people have grown to love over the decades.
Job well done! Cheers!
