Popped into Tijuana Flats for the first time. It’s a pretty casual and funky place :). The front staff were very polite and friendly. When I looked over the menu that was on the counter, I queried how big the chimichanga was and they showed with their hands its size, which was pretty nice size for its price. I got the wheat tortilla with ground beef and cheese filling, topped with tomato and shredded lettuce. It came with a side of chips—I asked for salsa, which came at no charge. The dish was surprisingly tasty and nicely seasoned, not very salty at all. The tortilla was crisp but not over-fried.
I would come back if I’m in town again.
This place was AWESOME!! The food was so fresh and tasty. In our party we had spicy food lovers and haters and everyone was happy. The service was fantastic portions were just right and the prices were reasonable.
First step is to avoid the enormous anthill by the front door. Do yourself a favor, and take the concrete path instead of the "shortest route" to the door. Missed this in the dark.
If you can manage to get to the door though, the portions here are as incredible as their low prices. Can't speak to their alcohol as I didn't have any, but their food is very good. Knocked off one star from food because even their hottest sauce (Carolina Reaper and Habanero) is watered down with a subpar aftertase. It's like the capsaicin is left and the flavor has been filtered out.
Regardless, I won't hold that against them. I have an incredibly hunger for spice, and most places don't even come close to having these offerings. Try the sauce anyway, it might just be me.
This restaurant has always been my favorite growing up so I go to a bunch of different locations and this one has to be my favorite by far. The workers are always the best and are so sweet. Some of the nicest people I’ve meet. There was a guy helping myself and my boyfriend today and he completely made our day by going out of his way to be so kind and generous . Thank you!
Above average quality, fast service, clean space. I ordered chicken nachos and chicken chimichanga - both were tasty and well prepared. I'd come back here without hesitation; 5 minute walk from my hotel, so pretty ideal.
Get blackened chicken nachos almost every time. Service is usually excellent! And the food is always delightful and made to order so you can usually make alterations.
It’s a casual Mexican food place. Food is moderately priced. They have good ambience with a lot of colors and lights. Since it’s near ucf you will see ucf related wall paints
Service was good. Staff was friendly but server forgot a side for one of our order. But overall they were friendly. They have whole lot of hot sauces, they also sale it on counter.
Place is well maintained and clean. Not so much crowd when I visited.
Fun, cool place for fresh Mex. The double decker tacos were recommended to me by the staff and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere is a funky vibe, and was cool to eat lunch there. My favorite is always the Hot Sauce Bar, so many fun and tasty combinations, something for every taste. I used to frequent the Fort Walton location, but with upcoming trips to Orlando I'm definitely coming back to this place. Id recommend it for anyone looking for a new, tasty Mexican joint.
I was told to go here for the sauce bar, and it was pretty great! There were 4 sauces that were pretty amazing for my taste buds. They were there sweeter, more mild ones which was a little disappointing. The hot ones weren't super flavorful. The food was delicious! The atmosphere is pretty cool.
I came in for a Queso Crunch Burrito (I ordered steak) with the hubby. He got a Chicken Tinga burrito and we shared an order of guacamole. It was a LOT of food for the both of us. It was still expensive even with a free burrito and drink, but I was pleased with the food. The burrito had just enough crunch and the guacamole is loaded. The unsweetened tea was surprisingly tasty. My husband said it was the highlight of the meal.
Order was correct and ready when promised. Food was tasty and fresh. Nice verity of options. Didn’t interact with the staff so unsure how the customer service is. If you are looking for some quick Mexican food you won’t be disappointed. Guess this is a local chain. Most I’ve seen get pretty good reviews.
If you like college fresh Mex, this is the place for you. The prices are low and the flavor is high. Standard meats with a solid topping of lettuce, tomato, onion, jalepeños and sour cream. But the idea is to try the hot sauces. I had 3 of the 15 or so. They have a scale of 1-4. 1 being flavored for children and 4 being flavored to throw in a volcano. so pick your poison, but taco Tuesday lives on here.
Since I moved to Orlando after one of my friend took me to Tijuana I had a gray experience there and I love the food, couple weeks ago I was in staff meeting at UCF RWC in my break I decided to go eat there somebody drove there. After order my food I realize I did not have my wallet with me and the person that droppped me left went home to eat. I asked to pay with Apple Pay which they do not acccept that. The server name was Angiie she was super nice with me she said we do not accept Apple Pay however, let’s me confirm with my manager he’s name was “John Pope”. When John came he apologize to me for not accept Apple Pay then he was like don’t worry about it will taking care of it, I am like what you mean sir I was about to leave. He was like will provide you the food you ordered free becuse you came here because you hungry, so we can’t let you leave like that we have to let you eat. I was so impress by he’s action I never expected something like that, that was my first time in life had a chance to receive free food from restaurant although it was a mistake also the way the manager and Angiie handle the situation that was so professional and amazing, I was really surprised and thankful for that. That make me realize in life there is still good people exist! John Pope and Angiie from Tijuana in university Blvd Orlando made my day.
Extremely nice staff. Food is fresh and served pretty soon. During lunch time it may get a little crowded inside and may be it’s hard to find parking during that hour of the day.
I disagree with the previous review. It must of been an off day w/ someone calling in sick or something. I make it a point to come to this location instead of the Avalon Park location which is only a 1/2 mile from my home. Every time I visit this location the staff is so friendly and attentive! The food comes out pretty quick! Service is on point and this location is clean.
Great for casual drinks, food is really good. I felt welcome and very comfortable with service and overall environment. Loved it.
Good food and you can't beat Taco Tuesdays! Lots of hot sauces are also available, ranging from sweet to ghost-pepper hot!
