No better Italian restaurant in the state. I felt like I was in Brooklyn New York. The food, service and atmosphere is A1. When you are done all you want to do is sit out front with your Espresso and cigar (unfortunately there is no smoking). Don't miss this treat.
Love this place! Food is always good, great wine selection! Me and my fiancé had our first date here, and many after. One night one of the owners made a joke that we could have our rehearsal dinner there when we get married. I always remembered him saying that, and I ended up proposing to her there in front of both of our families. The owner remembered us too and helped set up the surprise, and gave us a free bottle of champagne afterwards to celebrate. As someone who's favorite food is Italian food and always looks for good Italian restaurants this one as at the very top of my list. The pizza is terrific, the fried mozzarella and calamari are amazing, and pretty much every entree is delicious. If you are looking for a small quiet place with great ambiance, and friendly staff this is the place for you! A great first or for that matter any other date place. You might even end up celebrating your engagement here....
Pizza on Park Ave. When I worked in Winter Park Pannullo's was one of our go-to lunch spots since we could walk to it from our office. The main thing is during the week you HAVE to get there by 11:30 if you want to get a table and not have to wait. That is about the only way to get in and out of there in under an hour.
They always bring a basket of fresh baked bread to your table, along with olive oil & spices for dipping, to start you off. I am a creature of habit and always order the pizza and salad bar. For $9.20 you get two HUGE slices of pizza with 3 toppings and unlimited trips to the salad bar. Their salad bar has a great selection of toppings along with pasta salads and homemade dressings. You get a lot of food for under $10. I usually end up only eating one slice of pizza and taking the other home.
I have only been to Pannullo's once outside of the lunch hour and found the prices to be a little bit on the high side. My dining companions enjoyed their meals, I stuck with my yummy pizza, but didn't think it was worth the high price tag. I think I will stick with lunch from here on out.
Pannullo's does have outdoor seating but its along the sidewalk on busy Park Avenue. It is good for when the weather is nice, but I don't really enjoy having people constantly walking by especially since Winter Park is dog friendly and a LOT of people take their dogs down to Park Avenue. Even though it is a little darker inside, I would suggest sitting there. The service tends to be a little quicker (as its possible to actually SEE your waitstaff) and its closer to the salad bar. They also have a full bar available.
