I've eaten here twice. Birthday dinner date and Mother's Day brunch. Without a doubt, one of the most unpretentious, high class dining experiences I've ever had. Same server both times. He's top notch. This place accommodates for virtually any request and they're super nice about it. Space is beatiful, and both times, my company and I happily over ate. I NEVER eat dessert, but both times I got the bread pudding. It makes me feel proud. There's still more things I'm dying to try off the menu. Cant wait to go back. Oh, prices are CRAZY normal.
Prior to our experience at Noord:
We traveled to Holland in June of last year. Following our trip we were in search of dutch food close to home and came upon Noord.
Before we even sat down:
We arrived late since we are from out of the city and parking...well parking is not always realistic. The chef (who also happens to be the owner), other amazing chefs and wait staff were overly accommodating after we arrived over 15 minutes late; they talked to us and made us feel comfortable.
At the table:
The handmade bread was out of control. It had a butter spread that complimented it that was crazy good.
We ordered the amsterdam mussels and roasted cauliflower for appetizers. We also got the bitterballen krokets. For entrees, we got kip kerrie and gehaktballen.
In conclusion:
Overall, the food here is so good and we highly recommend it to everyone. We have been to alot of places in and around the city and nothing tops the quality service you receive here.
Best restaurant we have ever eaten at in Philadelphia. Food was exquisitely good. Service was the best ever. A complete outstanding evening.
