We had a large party of 10 and we had no problem getting reservations. A few of us arrived early and they kept my coffee cup filled while we waited. That is always important. We had several appetisers, all were good. Everyone enjoyed the pizza, mine had pine nuts, and some had pasta dishes and they enjoyed those too. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Would recommend.

Pietro's - Italian Oasis!!. Several years ago a bunch of us from Frederick MD drove to Philly for the King Tut exhibit. We heard about South Street and decided to stroll around. It was about 98 degrees (maybe I'm exaggerating but it was hot and humid!) . We were hungry and THIRSTY!! We stopped at one restaurant only to find the air conditioning was BROKEN. We staggered further down South Street and came across Pietro's..an Oasis of Italian Fare! After drinking about 3 tall delicious glasses of iced tea, we ordered. Service was GREAT!! The waiter was very accommodating of our table of 8. He kept the iced tea coming and along with that the most delicious pizza I've ever had in my LIFE!!! The crust was light and crispy with a slight char to it..The tomato sauce was light tomato sunshine..bright, fresh and sweet. The mozzerella was unlike any I ever had before. FRESH! Creamy..slightly tangy..looking like melted browned marshmallow but certainly NOT marshmallow. Absolutely fantastic. Over the years, we've ventured back looking for any reason to stop by, "Well..we're going to New Hope PA..let's stop by Pietro's on the way back." My daughter and I went to an Elvis tribute show and on the way back..guess what?..Pietro's pizza along with splitting a fresh salad and iced tea. You CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THE PIZZA. If you've never had fresh mozzarella on a pizza you haven't had pizza..and you even if you have..you haven't had the best until you've tried Pietro's..

Pizza Deliziosa!!!!. You will enjoy the pizza, especially if you like a thin crispy crust with fresh mozzarella and wide selection of toppings. My current fav is sun-dried tomatoes, fresh mushrooms and basil. As good as you'll find this side of Naples! By the way, the arugula salad is superb, enough for two.

Al fresco dining on the quiet end of South Street, nice bar area with doors open to the street. Excellent choice for lunch and check out the daily specials.

First time here the other night and I loved the atmosphere of this place. Friendly staff, quick service, and great food! My personal favorite was the fried calamari, it was delicious. Really liked the dipping sauce a lot too. The rigatoni alla vodka was alright! Overall, I liked this restaurant and will definitely be returning.

As a part of Temple University’s Memorable Moments, we were taken to this restaurant. The old Italian look of the restaurant will take you back in time. Even though it might look like a small join but believe me it’s so spacious from inside and can accommodate more than 70-80 people at a time. Coming to food, it was amazing pre-decided menu from salads to desserts. To start with we were served Mista Salad🥗 and Cesar Salad🥗 which was so amazing!!! Then for entree we had bruschettas🍞 and risotto balls. Here risotto balls were so good, crispy outer cover with cheesy rice inside. Then comes the main course, rigatoni alla vodka, gemilli arugula pollo and spaghetti bolognese🍝. And to finish it off we had Tiramisu 🍰and Cannoli. We simply loved Tiramisu ❤️. Great staff and amazing food!!! Definitely coming back for more 😃.

If you love pizza, you are going to love THIS pizza. It is probably the best crust I've ever had. Prices are good for the portions. The biggest downside is that you will be paying for parking which can be $20+, so if you are coming to the area just for dinner, make sure you factor that in. Service was friendly and good, and the setting was also fun! If you are in town and feeling like pizza, this is a must.

🍕🍷🍸Apparently two locations in Philly. Family and I dined at the Sout Street location. Cozy warm and artesian feel to the dining area. Friendly greeter and waiting staff. Wine, Beer and Mixed Drinks. I had the Pinot Noir (a generous pour) and the wife had a Mule serviced in a mason jar. Hot rolls served while you wait to order. The 14" creat your own pizza BAKED IN A COAL OVEN.....that correct, a COAL FIRED pizza oven. The HOMEMADE MOZZARELLA was fabulous and gooey stringy. Tomato sauce perfectly seasoned. Pepperoni thickly cut. Awesome job Pietro Team.....whenever I'm back in Philly, I'll most definitely stop in

Everything about this place is delightful! The ambiance of the place is nice, despite the required social distancing! All the wait staff were wearing masks AND face shields! The warm bread brought out at the beginning is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. It's served with a light oil and herbs mix. We had mussels in red sauce as an appetizer. The mussels were big but still tender. The sauce was divine! The mussels came with this light, fluffy, crispy flatbread that was unbelievably airy and crisp! So good! For our main course we ordered the Pietro Pizza, which is smoked mozarella, prosciutto, and arugula. The crust is thin and perfectly baked. You can taste the smokiness of the mozarella, and combines perfectly with the flavor is the prosciutto. The pizza was delicious, but we decided to wrap half of it up in favor of saving room for dessert. We ordered the tiramisu. The cream on top and in the layers tasted fresh and light, giving the perfect balance of light and sweet. We had the pleasure of washing down all this scrumptious food with a bottle of their Sangiovese red wine, which paired nicely with everything. We had a truly exceptional meal, and will definitely be returning!

The best crust I've had in a long time. We had the short rib pizza, it was so good. The crispy cauliflower was great as well

Pietro’s offers pizza and other Italian food options in a spacious (although a bit noisy) locale. Everything we ordered was fantastic, ranging from calamari to salads to pizza to cocktails. The waitstaff was very attentive and the portions are very generous. A very good value and very, very good food. They also have a fairly extensive beer selection, including many local micro brewery options.
