Slice of pepperoni was delicious! A slice and a Coca-Cola was seven dollars. Nice atmosphere, music, family friendly.
I had the incredible pleasure of visiting Joe's Pizza Philly as part of a delightful Philly Food Tour, and I must say, it was an absolute highlight! While Joe's offers a tempting array of pizzas, it was the renowned Tomato Pie that stole the show. Crafted with meticulous care, this dish embodies the dedication and expertise of the founder.
The Tomato Pie at Joe's is unlike anything I've ever tasted. The sauce, made fresh daily by the founder, boasts an unbeatable flavour profile that truly sets it apart. The double rise crust, a testament to their commitment to quality, adds a wonderful depth to each bite. The fact that you need to order this masterpiece in advance only adds to the anticipation of savouring such a culinary delight.
My wife who has been at Joe's a few times before, was amazed to discover their Tomato Pie. It's a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets. My wife, a local and born-and-raised Philly resident, couldn't deny its exceptional taste. Trust me, this is an experience you won't want to miss on your trip to Philly. The Tomato Pie at Joe's Pizza Philly is an absolute must-try - it's a mouthwatering journey into the heart of authentic Philadelphia flavours!
Joe’s Pizza in Philly has wonderful employees - I stepped in today to get away from a man following me on the street, he continued to harass me in the restaurant but the men working did not hesitate to stand up and make sure I was safe. I am thankful for these wonderful individuals who subjected themselves to conflict for a lengthy period of time just to protect a stranger. Have to come back for the pizza, but can vouch for the great service!
Stopped here for a late lunch while exploring the city. It's in a great location between Rittenhouse Square and City Hall. When you walk in they have the available pizzas out on the counter. I picked out a slice of pepperoni and BBQ chicken. The pizza man slid them into the oven to get nice and toasty. The pepperoni was $4 with the BBQ costing $4.75. Once my slices were ready it was time to find a place to sit. Turns out, that's really simple here as they have three seating areas and they're all massive. Overall the pizza was what I was looking for, greasy and tasty with a good sauce. The crust wasn't great and was quite thick on the BBQ slice. When I walked out, a man showing his family around exclaimed, "This is my favorite pizza place in the city." There you have it, two reviews in one.
Maybe some of the best pizza we’ve ever had. And we love pizza. The crust of the pizza is crispy and chewy and the quality of ingredients is excellent. Friendly service too!
Stopped by from a friends recommendation, and joes pizza didn’t disappoint! Thank you.
There pizza pie 🍕 well properly balanced with seasoning ! 🥫
Yummy Yummy pizza!!!!
We usually have it once in 2-weeks.
Our family's favorite pizza place and our favorite pizza here is cheese pizza with no toppings.
Their specialty is the crust of the pizza is thick and the cheese layer is thin.
Portion sizes are big. 2 slices of large pizza is more than enough for an adult for a meal.
Plenty of seating to have it in store.
When things were all good, we used to have it then and there. But now due to Covid, we only have an option to "Take out".
Just to avoid waiting, we call them prior order and then go pick it up.
It is located in one of the busiest roads in Philly. No specific parking is available.
Philadelphia locals love this place so much
They were lovely and the food was good, came quickly and at a good price, too! We had to reschedule our reservation, but it was no problem and we had the upper storey all to ourselves for our bigger group. Thanks!
A good place to get Roman style pizza! Nicely cooked with good flavors. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The service is fast and there is plenty of seats in this restaurant. Good place to come with a group and try many different types of pizza.
one of those little secrets of the city. Nice atmosphere of a retro Italian restaurant. the pizza was great. they had many other options to try. they all looked great. the stuff that served at the counter the two times I went there was very patient and helpful. overall a great experience. by the way the price is not bad at all. it is definitively on the budget. enjoy it.
I’ve been grabbing slices and sandwiches at Joe’s for years now and have never been disappointed! Very few pizzerias in Phila are this consistent, period. Stop in for one of their slices (tons of choices) or order a cheesesteak or one of their other sandwiches (chicken parm is delicious) but no matter what you order you won’t be disappointed! I wish they had locations all over the city!
The best pizza I’ve had in a really long time everything is SO GOOD and responsibly priced
Good pizza for around 4bucks... service is fast and big place to seat and eat. I tried buffalo chicken and one another slice. It was premade... they cooked it nice and crispy
This pizza was perfection. It was so fresh and tasted so good. I highly recommend stopping by if you like pizza that’s done the right way!!!
One of the workers, I never got his name, but I asked him to pick 3 slices he recommended and those 3 slices were fantastic. The variety of flavors, the atmosphere in the restaurant and the vibes the workers had all intermingled and created one very enjoyable experience! Will definitely come back again!
PERFECT. YES. PERFECT. I am staying in Philly for the first time and used them for delivery twice in a week.
*Service: REAL person took my order on phone, I didn't have to use some app like some high school girl. The man who took my order was patient, got my special requests just right.
*Delivery: Perfect each time. Food was hot, order was accurate, delivery guy was good.
Food
*****
Pizza: HOLY HSIT!!! Each time it was delicious. Not overcooked. Not undercooked. Generous cheese. Sausage was delicious.
Salads: Cold, fresh, great. I bit of extra dressing would be nice though.
Hoagies: WOW. Bread held the sandwich together well - and it was fresh and soft and moist but with a hint of that nice texture that you gotta chew. Meats and cheeses and veggies were again cold and fresh. We didn't let one bite go and it stayed well in fridge and tasted great after 48 hours.
See? Nice people. Great food. Nothing complicated, no digital maze to go thru. No "app" parasite to pay extra to. Happily recommend this place to everyone.
very accomodating owner/staff. had small bday celebration for famly member, utilized upstairs room. Pizza, salads, subs all very good. Cant go wrong, clean and fresh food.
Walked in and the staff were very patience and explained my options. First time customer and I’ll be back! Buffalo chicken and ranch chicken slices were my choice and they were absolutely delicious… 🤤 that is if you love crunchy thin crust which I do 😍
My boyfriend got buffalo and a slice of broccoli which he also said was delicious …. We have order chicken to go and will have a few slices to go as well.
Plus the seating and music was definitely a plus
My first visit because Dan Dan couldn't seat me. Joe's Prepared my cheesesteak and fries perfectly!!! I'm well pleased and that's kinda hard to do😁 I'm a fan!
