Stuck in Philadelphia due to the blizzard. Was supposed to go to New York but flight was cancelled. Took a detour to Philly hoping to meet someone. (In the end he said he couldn't make it.) Spent 18 hours in the hotel room with nothing to do. Got out of the hotel when the sun came out. Walked in a random Vietnamese restaurant. The rice noodles is not just delicious but making me feel happiness. Such a comfort for someone in my boots. It became one of the reasons that I'll come back to this city. I'm just so so...surprised.
Was visiting philly and really wanted bun bo hue for the rainy weather. I was really surprised by how good the food was and the vegetables were all very clean and fresh. It was such homey vibes and the owner was really nice as well. I would definitely love to go again if I end up visiting the area.
Just great home cooking, nice little family-operated restuarant. Peaceful, casual atmosphere and friendly service. Mrs. Li has become our honorary grandma, we always leave feeling well taken care of. Try the whole menu, everything comes out fantastic!
