Flavorful Food!

Amazingly flavorful Cambodian food! We began with the Student Noodles with grilled shrimp. This is the perfect noodle dish during the warm weather in AZ! Then we enjoyed the delicious Cha Kreung Chicken and Lok Lak Beef! Go now before everyone discovers this restaurant. They have applied for a liquor license.

An easy to miss restaurant, but it's one you should take the time to stop in! I hadn't even thought about Cambodian cuisine until a friend suggested a group of us try it. None of us were disappointed, however none of us had any traditional Cambodian food to compare it to. The restaurant is quaint and has a cozy feel with Cambodian art surrounding you. We decided to do the meal family style so that we could all try a bit of each.

We tried the basil seed and grass jelly drink. I thought it tasted like a bubble gum tea. Very sweet.

The egg rolls were delicious and the sauce that they come with was sweet and a little spicy!

Baiynchaiv crepe was a rice flour crepe stuffed with ground pork, shrimp, onions, and sprouts. The dish came with a large amount and variety of fresh herbs to put on it if you'd like.

Chicken Bai Cha is a chicken fried rice. It wasn't as sweet as the traditional fried rice I was used to. But it was still very delicious!

Khmai BBQ platter came with a large bowl of rice, 2 chicken wings, 2 beef skewers, and grilled beef. It was all very delicious and full of flavor!

Nothing blew me away, which is why I'm rating it a 4. But, the food was tasty and I'd definitely come back!

BIG Hits and Misses. Last time I was here I had the most amazing meal. Loc Loc Beef that was so tender with lots of exotic flavors served with fresh crispy salads. My husband also enjoyed the Cambodian Sausage last time. This time the Cambodian Sausage is off the menu. I really came here to try the Amok Fish that's the National Dish of Cambodia but they weren't serving today so I decided to the the Chicken Kreung. Honestly I didn't care for it. The dark meat chicken was a little dry and chewy. I also didn't care for the sauce because it was saltier than I can take, a little oilier than I like and it also had a gritty texture that was odd to me. I've had the Vietnamese version of this dish before and liked it. My husband had the Mi Keaw Noodle Soup.It was served almost warm not hot and had home made pork dumplings that were falling apart in it. Hits and Misses but they are the ONLY Cambodian Restaurant in town.

A great new place in central Phoenix. Sekong by Night is a relatively new Cambodian restaurant in central Phoenix. It has some tough competition - there are several very good Vietnamese and Thai places in the area and Cambodian cuisine, less well known than either Thai or Vietnamese, blends both. Happily for diners, Sekong by Night does not disappoint.

We went there for a late lunch yesterday. We ordered spring rolls, beef skewers (sort of a Cambodian version of satay) and "chicken noodle soup" (Cambodian chicken pho). Each dish was outstanding. The spring rolls were filled with chicken, shrimp and mint and served with a light fish sauce based dipping sauce. It was like biting into a little bit of heaven. The soup, served in a large bowl, was meaty with lots of noodles, served with bean sprouts and mint on the side and again, excellent. The beef skewers were the best of the bunch. Served with a dipping sauce, a small portion of jasmine rice and a small carrot/papaya salad.

We finished the whole meal off with a shared desert of fried bananas in tapioca with coconut milk.

The entire meal set us back $24, which I considered an excellent price. The average entree is under $10. Portions are the perfect size for one person. A couple can order a shared appetizer and two entrees and get out for about $20.

I was very impressed with everything this little hole in the wall (the most prominent signage says "parking in rear.") The food is excellent, the price is right and the service friendly.

What a find! Super food. My wife had the green mango grilled fish and it was delicious. I had the Amok fish which was also super. My son had the Cha Keinei which he enjoyed very much. I also shared a jackfruit with sweet rice with my wife and it was light and delicious.

My of my favorite Cambodian place to eat. The food is fantastic but the service is a little slow. They only had one server but she was friendly. Food took awhile to arrive but when the food arrives it was delicious.

Soooo good, everything I've had here is amazing. Can't wait to make my way through this whole menu! Slightly pricey but definitely worth the price for a place that actually cares about making things that taste and look good.

I’m from the Washington, DC area and we don’t have any Cambodian restaurants there so I was so excited to discover this place. The food was so good that I barely made out of the restaurant before writing this review! Everything was extremely flavorful and cooked to perfection! And I’m Cambodian so I’d know good Cambodian food. Also, the owner was so nice! Cannot wait to return when I’m back in Phoenix!

Step out of your comfort zone and into Cambodia! My fist time here and I absolutely love it. Unique and delicious dishes prepared fresh. A little hidden but well worth the drive. The spring rolls were very fresh and paired well with the side sauce, the chicken wings were charred to perfection, very moist but crunchy on the outside. Pork was extremely moist and seasoned well and packed with flavor and I absolutely loved everything I tried. Also, they offer some imported Cambodian beers. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Amazing food. First time trying Cambodian food, it’s pretty similar to other southeast Asian cuisine like Thai and Vietnamese but with a very comforting twist. It’s like the soul food of Southeast Asia. We order a ton of different dishes and shared family style. Everything was so delicious, we will definitely be back to try more dishes and order our favorites again. Reathrey Sekong is a hidden gem in Phoenix, definitely worth checking out!

Do yourself a favor and eat here. Best Asain food I've had in Phoenix. Depth of flavor is incredible. The bbq meats were perfect. The noodles were mind blowing. Borderline had a spiritual experience enjoying this food. Simplicity yet attention to detail and care across the menu. Like be transported to home via your taste buds.

This place is fantastic! I loved the Cambodian mixed grill (they were out of beef skewers), I actually appreciate a restaurant running out of things because it’s fresh. We also had the mi Chen egg noodle with shrimp and beef 10/10! The lemongrass beef was amazingly prepared and like no other dishes I’ve tasted. I will be a regular here, even the sweetened coffee is to die for! Thank you!!!

I flew into Phoenix and only had three days to explore the city and surrounding areas; I’m so glad I made this place a “must go to” during my trip. I ordered the chicken fried rice and the meat platter - both were very generous in portions, delicious, the service was top notch. I ordered an hour before closing and the server was happy to take my order. The food tasted homemade and it definitely hits close to home. Next time I visit, I will try other offerings and beers. I love the decor on the inside. There are pieces of history of Cambodia everywhere you look, and it reminds me of home. A neat find is they have a record of Sinn Sisamouth and Ros Sereysothea (both famous singers) on the wall and playing softly in the background. If you are looking for something different to try, definitely hit this place up. You won’t be disappointed. I look forward to eating here again in the future.

Reathrey Selling got recommended to me by a friend so I decided to check it out. It is honestly one of the best places I have eaten in Arizona. The skewers were fantastic as well as the egg rolls. I also decided to try their guava juice and it didn't disappoint. For dessert, I got the jackfruit sticky rice and it was great, but I do wish it came with something to dip in like coconut milk. Overall, I would come back here again if I'm in the area as the food is just really good.

Very friendly server, he helped us understand the menu and had some great recommendations. Try the pineapple soup, I thought it was pretty good. As well as the chicken with rice which had a really good dressing along. Overall the place was wonderful and great tasting food as well.

This is a hidden gem in the AZ! There's not many or one and only Cambodian restaurant out but when we grub; beyond our expectations and extremely scrumptious. I suggest to dine here if you want to be adventurous in trying new cuisine. Thank you for serving and having us!

Absolutely loved their curry soup. Very accommodating place, they made some of their menu for my vegetarian kids version. Loved their steamed fish curry steamed inside banana leaves with some curry n coconut milk. Missed some spiciness for my taste but liked it over all.

Fantastic small business here folks. If your familiar with thai food it's similar but different. Excellent flavors everything was very fresh. The only cambodian restaurant I've seen in az. I was very delighted with my meal, it was my first time having cambodian, good stuff. The only negative I could think of was meat serving size for the price.
