I was curious about this place and finally got to drop by yesterday! I wanted to get the oxtail but didn't know it was Weekends only, so my partner and I got dinner combos with a peach cobbler. It took a while for our food to arrive but it was fine sitting inside of the restaurant waiting. I had the BBQ ribs with fried okra and mac n cheese. It was superbly done. The sauce was great with some heat, the ribs were done well and soft with great flavor, and the sides were amazing too! The peach cobbler was really great and I wish I ordered 2 since it was hard to share. Decadent with soft dough and baked peaches. My partner got the catfish dinner which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Our food was hot and tasty, with great breading and frying. Highly recommend this place and looking forward to trying more of the different dishes. Make sure to tip them well!
What a great find! Authentic feeling and authentic tasting southern restaurant. The owners even opened up early for us the day we walked in.
The restaurant itself is very tiny with only 5 booths. It’s a little dated but gives it that dive feeling.
The fried chicken was my absolute favorite. My aunt could hear the “crunch” from across the room. So crispy!
The only disappointment was the ribs. They were well done and not the best. The sauce however was delicious.

I needed a feel good Friday. Gizzards were me and my grandpa's thing. He passed away, and yesterday was his bday. I didn't get paid until today. Not only are the gizzards home style they taste just like my pops. I didn't realize they sold Kool-Aid. I went to purchase it. And my pops was looking put for me because they gave me a free drink. God is Good! So is this place. I hope you take the review and run to it.
Thank you, young sir, I needed that...
