I’ve really enjoyed my visits here. Second visit last evening was just as we remembered it and perhaps even better. The first time we stopped at Ditkas it was a whim as we passed by with zero research. We were all blown away by the experience and the quality and flavor of the steaks that were cooked just the way we each liked. Returning has been on the list for a long time but just never seemed to fit in. Las evening we were in the mood for a great steak and after checking all the reviews and articles the decision was made to give Ditka’s another try. I honestly can’t imagine that the more we’ll know “steak houses” would have made us any more pleased. We arrived around 8 and one of the nice things is you can sit on the dining side with table clothes and all of the bar side which is quite nice but just a touch more relaxed. As we didn’t get so dressed up we choose to sit on the bar side. Place setting, wine glasses and all were still present. We were given water upon sitting down. I really like this somewhat dying tradition. The menu is a good size and well rounded but not a massive one with too many things to really be good at making them all. I ordered a Manhattan and later a Tom Collins both of which were really well done. The only other drink at the table was a lager of some sort that got a definite thumbs up. Salads arrived in chilled plates with a chilled fork just after the warm rolls. The mike salad and the wedge were a toss up really, both were fresh, crisp and all the increments were well proportioned and presented beautifully. Both salads were really really good. A bit later after the table was cleared and new flatware was placed, again seems to be a dying tradition. We appreciated not having to ask for the table to be cleared. Steak and sides arrived and they looked amazing. The chat looked perfect and the smells wafting off them made my mouth water. New York strip for me and aged prime rib for my son. My steak was absolutely perfect medium. I’m not eve. Sure how they got it cooked that even. His prime rib was thick and cut with a fork. I had a bit of that as well and it’s probably the best I’ve ever had. My strip was full of flavor just simply one of the best I’ve had. We wrapped up with a mascarpone cheese cake that was so decadent and delicious it was sad to see it gone. In the end Ditka’s is a home run for us with two visits in and more to come for sure.
I literally forgot to take pictures because the experience was so nice it distracted me.
Great place for a steak and good bottle of wine. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The mikes salad and the crab bisque are a must have. If you haven't tried the lobster mac I would suggest it as well.
I'd heard that the food at Ditka's didn't justify the price (when a friend was there years ago) and as of now, I completely disagree. Is Ditka's expensive? Yes. It seems on par with other nicer steak places in pricing and (like the others), I think it is worth that price for amazing food sometimes.
If you're looking for a great steak, this is a very good choice. It's a great choice for a special dinner. The service was amazing and the food was wonderful. I can't think of anything else I could ask for in a restaurant. The toppings (crab cake & sauce), side (smashed potatoes), & crab bisque were all wonderful, too. A lot of steak restaurants get the steak right, but not the rest of the meal. My dining companion and I both thought the prices were appropriate for the quality of the food and service.
Ditka's is not an every day restaurant, but it's great for special occasions!
Side note, there is NO entrance on Steubenville Pike (I had to make a u-turn in the snow, since I didn't realize that).
Professional wait staff, food quality meets expectations but uninspired menu. A good & conveniently located option for steaks- especially if you're opposed to venturing downtown for Ruths Chris or Hyde Park.
My wife and I took our daughter and her husband to Mike Ditka's Pittsburgh Robinson restaurant to celebrate their 14th anniversary.
The food was top notch as was the service with our Server Bill an attentive and cordial tall young man with a high level of energy.
We had Starter of Sliders with filet mignon.
Our main courses were 1.Maryland Crab cakes; 2. 8oz filet mignon and the ladies shared string bean side sauted in garlic butter
3. Delmonico steak 4. NY 16 oz strip steak and and men shared jalepeno has browns
Each plate was properly cooked.
At 630pm on Thursday night the restaurant was filled...best recommendation for a restaurant.
Definitely one to return to
We had a great dinner. Service was excellent also
Dinner with friends. Our dinner was absolutely delicious!!! Our table was great and our waiter was wonderful. He was very attentive and always checked on us to make sure things were good.
One of our favorite restaurants around!!. My wife and I come here for special occasions. We've always had great service and excellent food!! Plus for the price, it's worth stopping here instead of dealing with the hassle of downtown Pittsburgh just to get to Ruth's Chris. Ruth's Chris is great too, but not enough difference in service to rule out Ditka's.
Great Steak House in the Suburbs. Outstanding service, great menu, great bar for a drink before dinner. Very impressive, have had many great meals here.
Very good service. Ran out to car after I forgot my credit card. Good food and drink, excellent cleanliness! I will go there again!
Great Steak!. Traveling to Pittsburgh on business. Our group chose Ditka's, and we were not disappointed. I had the paddle steak, which is a bone-in rib steak. Cooked to perfection, tender as any filet I have ever had.
Amazing service and food!. We were celebrating a very, very special occasion tonight, so I made reservations as a first time visitor to Ditka's in Pittsburgh. Well, it is way better than any of us anticipated. From the people answering the phone to the wait staff to the chefs, this place is top notch. We were treated like special guests, and I was so happy that this restaurant turned out to be such a great experience. Trying a new place for a special occasion is risky, but Ditka's is better than most restaurants. Our server was Rob, and he also had help from another gentleman who checked on our drinks. The wait staff appears to be very professional at all times. It kind of blew me away because there are so many places with rude servers. Nowadays, I almost expect people to treat us poorly!
Ditka's renewed my faith that some people actually do care about doing a great job. If you want to go to a place where the staff is professional and courteous, this is truly the place to go. We never saw the bottoms of our glasses, not even once. I ordered a Caesar salad and asked for honey mustard dressing. Sounds so simple, right? Somehow, the chef was able to make my salad so it was the best I'd ever had. Everything else was as delicious. Fish and chips were fluffy and light, not at all greasy. The food was fresh and seemed to be made with care. My friend ordered scallops and a side of crab and he loved all of it.
Overall, our experience was almost unbelievable because it was so nice. Most places treat their guests like they are annoying. This place treats guests like gold. There are not many places out there like this anymore. You really have to try it. This place is the real deal. I honestly cannot praise this restaurant enough. Highly recommend!!! --Amanda from Ohio :-)
...As an important note, I do not have an affiliation with this company at all. I live in Ohio and commute to school in Pittsburgh.
YUM! lobster bisque!. Went for lunch and ordered the fried calamari to split and it was delicious, perfectly cooked with a good dip sauce and peppers. had their lobster bisque, it was so YUMMY, had big chunks of lobster through out and tasted great! Would go back just to order a bowl of soup!
I ate at Ditka's this afternoon for a family lunch. The staff was very nice and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Mike's salad was delicious and I had the
Blue cheese burger. It had the biggest tomato on it I have ever seen and was great. Would definitely go back.
This was our first time. It was great. The food was excellent. We had the Kobe Sliders. Cooked perfectly, juicy, full of flavor. I had the Prime Filet. Best steak i've ever had. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly medium rare. My wife had Crab Stuffed Shrimp, and really enjoyed it. Patrick was our server, and was fantastic. We will definitely be back.
Solid.. Food 7/10. Atmosphere 8/10. Prices 7/10. All around a welcome addition and decent food spot in the middle of a sea of poor chain restaurants.
Great Experience at Ditka's. We had dinner August 4 at Ditka's. The personnel were all quite friendly, the service was good and the the food was delicious.
My date had prime rib ... I like Halibut, and it was on the menu, but it was tortilla-crusted with salsa, tamale and chipotle, which I don't like. So the chef prepared it special for me - pan seared in garlic butter ... it was delicious! The salads were fresh and crisp. We both had asparagus, which was perfectly steamed. The bread was fresh, the drinks were good and the dessert, a banana cheesecake, was the best I'd ever tasted.
It was delightful.
My date was charming, too ... but Ditka's doesn't get any points for that.

Fantastic steak, equally great service.. I was taken here as an especially nice birthday dinner. (When the dinner reservations were made online, we did put that in the comment section.) The food was fantastic, especially the steak. I could have just eaten steak all day! It was made to perfection, not overdone and not still mooing at me, incredibly tender and flavorful. I made the mistake of ordering two sides, thinking they were included or weren't going to come out on a big plate, so those were taken home. After we stuffed ourselves and were ready for the check, our server came out with a piece of cake and two glasses of champagne, courtesy of Ditka's! We managed to make some room for that!
Full size Ditka not mini Ditka. Because of its location in a nondescript office building at the entrance to the Robinson gargantumall, I did not have the highest of hopes. However, I had one of my finest steakhouse experiences at Ditka's. If you do not wish to spend some cash, just move on past and go to Smokeybonze. However, if you are willing, the dry aged steaks really are among the best I have ever tasted and I have dined at many steakhouses in many areas of the country. The Kansas City strip had the texture of filet but the flavor of a robust, chewy strip and it was perfectly cooked form edge to bone. In addition, the salads and sides are excellent but relatively light which limits the typical steakhouse bloat (e.g., Ruth Chris'). I'm not a stickler for formality but the mix of dress on a Friday night at 8:00 was pretty surprising. It is possible that some of the reviewers here are expecting a lower cost dinner given the location and may opt for less expensive menu items, hence their feelings of disappointment. This leads to my single criticism which is that it appeared that the restaurant was attempting to cater to the after shopping mall crowd as well as the fine dining crowd and they might improve by focusing on the latter.
Exactly as Asked. We had an early reservation, I would recommend this. Service, food, drinks were exactly as ordered. Patrick did a great job looking after us.
The first time we went there it was amazing! Went back for new years eve and was disappointed. Steak was over cooked and server was rude. The menu was also smaller due to high volume. Which would have been ok if we were told of this when making the reservation. The red sangria was fantastic. I went back for lunch and everything was great again.. Just don't book on busy nights!
Best Calamari ever tasted! Love the garlic aioloi
Good Steak, Good service, good date ambiance. I've been to Ditka's twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch, I had the $15 kobe beef burger, and while it was good, it wasn't so great that I'd make a special trip for it.
We found ourselves in the Robinson area at dinner time, so going to Ditka's was a logical choice.
The service at the restaurant is very good, unobtrusive and on par with any of the other fine steakhouses in the area.
The drinks were expensive, but also very stiff --- plenty of alcohol in the mixed drinks.
Crab Bisque was good.
Bear in mind, that unlike Ruths Chris or Morton's of Chicago, that the majority of the steaks on the menu are top USDA CHOICE steaks --- not USDA Prime. Choice steaks make up about 54% of steaks out there, where Prime is about the top 3%. They claim they are "Top" choice, so that their steaks are in the top few percentage of the Choice steaks.
You should keep this in mind when comparing prices with other steakhouses --- and I think Ditka's is almost as expensive for a choice steak than a prime steak at Ruths Chris. Same price, but Ruths Chris is offering a much better product.
They have two choices of prime steaks in their "Prime Locker" : an 18oz strip steak, and a filet. Both were good, but were overcooked ---- their descriptions seem one notch off. It seems you should order more rare than you think you need.
The ambiance was dark, white tablecloths, candle lit. Great place for date.
Overall, the meal was on par with my expectations for this type of place.
Good experience. I recently went here for lunch with a friend. The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
Love it... The only acceptable restaurant in Robinson to do a bussiness lunch. The service is excellent and and the happy hour is classy, yet fun. Da'chop with apple chutney is the best pork dish I have ever had. I have no idea what they do to their sweet potatoes, but I would kill for the recipe. Great steaks and seafood. I have never been disapointed with a Ditka's experience.
Love Ditka's BUT!!!. We love Ditka's in Robinson Township - it is great with wonderful service and very good food. BUT last night we were shocked to find out they no longer offer their meatloaf - it was AWESOME - they changed a few other things on the menu but THEY NEED TO BRING BACK THE MEATLOAF.
Or as Key would say to the Coach "C'mon Man!" - we want the Loaf!!!1
Terrific. My wife and I went out to dinner here with my dad when he flew in for business. This is a great place to go if you are not planning on fighting the downtown traffic. The atmosphere is exactly what a mid to upscale steakhouse should be like. The crab bisque and sweet butter with the bread was a great starter. The bread is warm, which is what all places should do! I got the Wasabi Burger that had a teryaki glaze that was great. My wife got the seafood pasta that she loved and only could eat 1/4 of it and she is pregnant! If you are going here for steaks, we didn't dive into those because they were a little pricey, but hear nothing but good things about it. I recommend this place for anyone, especially for out of towners.
Heard mixed reviews about it but, I had the pleasure of picking "Da Chop". What a great choice! It was awesome, also I would really suggest the pot roast nachos. Doesn't sound like steakhouse fair, they were excellent... I'll definitely be returning, thanks Mike.
Total Enjoyment. Visited Ditka's last weekend with family members and it was a totally enjoyable dining experience. Wait Staff was excellent; servers were very personality plus and attentive. Our dinners were top notch. The pork chops and Black Angus prime rib were exceptional. Would definitely like to re-visit the next time we're in Pittsburgh. Kudos to Mike.
Menu & dining room. I had thoughts of being( ditkas) it would be fine dining and very high dollar & found the menu to be very well rounded with excellent service however it was an extortionary noisy venue with tables very close to each other
We called for a reservation with just three hours notice on a Saturday night ...and got it. Sherry crab bisque, filet mignon, prime rib, asparagus, and sautéed spinach ...all perfect. Washed it down with a Cakebread cabernet. Ask for Hector.
Pork Chop. THe best pork chop I've ever had!! It was delicious! And the service was great!
I like it.... Stopped and had a late lunch. There were a few people but not crowded. One person was in the back corner of the bar on their computer, so they don't rush you out. There were two of us so we shared. Had the Coach's Meatloaf stack with fresh cornbread, mash potatoes and asparagus. It was very good...nice taste and reasonably priced. Had a steak...think they age the meat...cooked perfectly and very tasty.
Service was very good. Overall a very nice meal.
Good but not great. The crab bisque was excellent. The fullback filet was excellent. The twice baked potato and the bread/rolls were sub par. The turtle ice cream dessert was good. The service was barely adequate. Drinks were hard to get refilled. I expect everything to be top notch at such a high end place and it was not. Total bill was $80 per person with minimal alcohol on the tab. The place was surprisingly busy for a very snowy night.
Good steakhouse for the area. Great steak salad (only available at lunch)
filet was somewhat pricey but worth it cooked just right and sides were very filling
They over delivered!. Man, am I glad we decided to dine at Ditka's. My steak was cooked to perfection. The side dish of spinach was not an overcooked glob, but was tenderly sauteed as it supposed to be prepared. The manager stopped by our table with a complimentary appetizer since it was our first visit. Very good food in a wonderful atmosphere with excellent service......I shall return!
So far, I have been to Ditkas twice and would definitely go back! I recommend the pulled pork nachos, tuna tartar appetizers, the filet is good as well as some of their fish dishes! A breath of fresh air and good food in Pittsburgh!
Great service and really good food. Pretty much atria's try the pulled pork nachos app.
Good, not great. Steak was cooked properly (not always a foregone conclusion when you want it rare). I would say nothing was great in terms of the sides - i had the sweet potato mash which was above average, caesar salad was decent. Service was really good (we sat at the high top tables at the bar). Would go back - but probably a 'B' type place. Good game to get a steak and watch the game.
Always great. Had lunch today at Ditka's and once again both the food and the service was great. I have been stuck on the fish tacos, which are the best around. Attentive wait staff (maybe too much so bringing additional drinks every time our glasses reached half way). The burgers are great as are their salads. Ok, maybe more expensive than Applebee's across the street, but in my opinion worth it.
Expensive but Great Food. Delicious food and amazing service!! Pricey but totally worth it for a special occasion. Nice interior and the multiple course menu is offered on the weekend which is great.
I have eaten here twice and the steaks are superb, but I think it is overpriced. Special occasions are fine, but It is too expensive for more frequent visits.
Good experience. We went there for the first time the other day, had a party of 5 for lunch. Great service and everyone was very happy with their meals. I got the "meatloaf stack" which was wonderful and a good bargain at $9, I couldn't finish it.
FANTASTIC!! LIFE SAVING!!!!. I want to thank the staff and patrons at Ditka's in Robinson for saving my life! I was having dinner and a piece of steak got lodged in my throat and I was chocking! The staff took control and began the Heimlich immeditely! Tony Ficorilli, the manager, and the servers Jeff and Suzanne get a special thanks! I am not sure I would be here to write this without their help! Thank you for your quick action and professionalism! My husband and I are forever grateful! You guys are the best!
I like it.... But it was much better as an Atria's. It was cheaper and the food was more or less of the same quality. It has its moments but it can also be disappointing. I loved going to Atria's because it was a good middle ground kind of restaurant. Ditka's seems a little confused identity-wise.
Mike's Salad (mixed greens, cranberry, pecans, goat cheese, vinegarette) was Great! Bisque was excellent. Service was good but for the price you can match the quality elsewhere.. No real reason to go back I'm afraid.
DITKA'S. A great place for great food with an adult ambiance. Their oyster shooters are fresh and tasty as is all of their food. The chopped salad is fantastic and the scallops are the best around!
The Best. They have the very best Mixed Salad I have ever had and the Lobster Bisque is even better than my own recipe which was my favorite till now. Their Fresh bread and flavored butter is dynomite too. We were so impressed we thanked the Mgr who came by our table and he honored us with an introduction to their "Salad Chef".
Gotta go now, we are heading back again for more !!!
Great Service. I was very please with the service that we received at Ditka's. The portion sizes are too large for my liking but the leftovers were enjoyed. It reminded me of a Restaurant we went to in Atlantic City. It is pricey for the Pittsburgh area but it is nice every now and then to do something different. We made reservations for Valentine day. We were immediately seated. The servers did an excellent job and We will go back again.
Spent Thanksgiving dinner here with my Father in law and husband. Wasn't sure what to expect and went in hoping there would at least be mashed potatoes. The Thanksgiving offering was a 4 course meal for $48 per person. All the food was delicious. The meal included soup, salad, turkey dinner with all the fixings, and a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie (the pecan was 1000 times better!) I also had the best espresso martini I've ever tasted.
Our server did a great job even though the place was packed to the gills! She was very personable and enjoyed our Christmas attire. We also had jumbo cocktail shrimp and calamari. JUMBO was an understatement.
I highly recommend Ditkas but be prepared to spend big bucks!
This place was surprisingly awesome. This particular location was basically in the middle of nowhere...near the airport hotels. But I must say, it may as well have been on Rush St in Chicago. Our server was great, although he .ay have been assigned too many tables. The food was amazing from the delectable calamari to the sumptuous pork chop... Everything was on point. Once the food was ordered, it miraculously appeared within minutes. The salmon that sat upon my salad was cooked to perfection and hot. This placed was resoundingly Baused Up!
We rented a back room to hold a memorial dinner for my grandmother. Our waiter was attentive to our whole party and the menu for our gathering worked for everyone. The food was delicious and we all had a wonderful time. Thank you all so very much!
We went here for my birthday and had Brunch, it was absolutely amazing. The food was high quality and the flavor incredible. Our waitress Sarah H was so sweet and attentive. Definitely recommended a good fancy restaurant with great prices.
Honestly, I don't know where to begin as the entire experience of hosting my son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Ditka's was wonderful. The planning phase with Riley was easy and well-organized. The meals were outstanding! I don't know how Sherri and Shannon did it but appetizers and drinks came out and meals were ordered quickly. The chef and his staff did an amazing job getting all the selections out at the same time. I heard nothing but praise for the food! My husband's steak was the best he ever had and my pork chop was to die for!!
I would recommend Ditka's to anyone hosting a special event. With its outstanding service and cuisine, it cannot be beaten.
Great experience. Our first time. Started with a beer and raspberry smashed martini. Both served perfectly chilled. Next we had blue point oysters on the half shell. Served without crackers - first time without crackers for me. They were excellent anyway. Next we had the small Caesar salads one with extra anchovies. Served with a chilled fork, warm rolls and butter. Finally we had the 8 oz fillet and the coffee rubbed Delmonico. Both were cooked at the requested temperature. I told them to hold the green beans and roasted potatoes. I added an order of fries at full price since substitutions are not allowed - which have no issue with. My guest said both were excellent. She also ordered a side of scallops to go with the fillet. They arrived late due a waiter error but they made up for it with a slice of chocolate cake. In the end it was a $200 experience to remember and worth it.
UPDATE - I discovered the real secret of Ditka's. Private Dining - you can reserve a private area for you and 9 friends for a special get together with a limited personalized menu for as low as $30+ per person. You still get the same great food. They also have larger areas available. I set the menu with salad or soup of the day, choice of spinach mushroom pasta, pork chop or chicken picata. Plus choice of creme brulee or vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was a great deal. The food was excellent. The only flaw was our server had both our area and tables in the main dining area. The caused us to have to flag her down. I will definitely try this again in the future and hope the service issue was a fluke.
Great atmosphere. The decor is classy but not pretentious. Background music at just the right level. Prices are mid range and an excellent value for the quality of the food. I had a strip steak and Maryland crab cake which were both done to perfection. Our server Lindsey gave us the right amount of attention without being overly intrusive. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu and the facility. I definitely recommend giving them a try. I’ll definitely be back.
I went here for a business lunch. It was great! The salmon is baked with just the right crispness; the garnish orange & herbs are appealing too. The appetizer, artichoke dip and shrimp cocktail, were also wonderful. Environment was quiet, and temperature was just right. It is perfect for a business lunch gathering!
Amazing place. Amazing services from Ron. Amazing food! The Sherry Crab Bisque is to die for!
He even gave us 2 glasses of champagne because we were nice! Definitely going back.
Met a friend for late lunch early dinner... EVERYTHING was spectacular! From the hostess to the server to the management... all wonderful. I had the crab bisque, the wedge, and the scallop dinner. Took home the turtle ice cream dessert. It was my first time here and will be joining again with my husband... thank you
Our first time here and definitely not our last! The food was beyond amazing and my boyfriend and I both left full with leftovers! We were given a slice of chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversary which was the perfect ending to our meal. Shannon gave us a wonderful experience and was so personable! She kept my water glass full even though it felt like I was chugging it. Will be back next time we’re in Pittsburgh!
Had a great experience for my birthday dinner with my wife! Chris took excellent care of us! 100% would recommend Ditka's to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!
Stopped here after some Christmas shopping, and had some food and few drinks! Outstanding!! This place never disappoints. Bryan is super sweet and always a-joy to see him!!
My husband and I have gone to Ditka’s in Robinson last night for the first time in awhile. He usually does business lunch there. We were both very impressed with the seafood entrée selection. I usually prefer seafood over steakhouses; however, Ditka’s has the best of both worlds. The fact that they have Faroe Island salmon on the menu, as opposed to the Alaskan stuff everyone else puts on a menu, is what impressed me most. This is a far better choice for salmon, and it was prepared perfectly. I absolutely LOVED it. My husband had the lobster tail; and it too was perfectly done.
Our server was Shannon. She was an excellent server. It’s very easy to tell a professional server, and she fits the bill. She was very pleasant and made a very crisp appearance, and you can tell she loves her job.
All in all, our dining experience was excellent. Thank you to the Chef and staff, and Shannon.
Absolutely delicious! I've been looking for a really good steak house for my husband, and most fail at something. Ditkas surpasses them all. Service was amazing - quick and friendly. Food was delicious - from the fresh bread, to the crab bisque and Caesar salad, to the steak and scallops, and you can't forget the creme brulee for dessert. Highly recommend!!
Been coming to this establishment for years and has been a great place to dine. The calamari use to be way better and This visit it was pretty bland. The coffee rubbed Delmonico by lintz with ancho butter was 🔥 . Cocktails always delicious. The turtle ice cream 🍦 is ridiculously tasty 😋. Have had things all over the board and everything has been solid. As far as service, it was fantastic this evening but has been a little rough sometimes. Will continue to go back!
I absolutely love Ditkas. I took my husband here and he loved it. The steaks are perfect and always delicious. It's a must try in pittsburgh
Tiffini, our waitress was top-notch and the food was AMAZING. Highly recommend the delicious sherry crab bisque. Steaks were melt-in-your-mouth! They even brought out champagne when they found out it was our anniversary. We had a wonderful time and everything we had was wonderful and delicious.
My wife and I love dining here. The place is beautiful, atmosphere is perfect, even elegant. The staff make you feel like a VIP the whole time. Food is delicious and precisely prepared. Do yourself a favor and take your special someone here this week for a wonderful, high class dinner experience!
Much Live and Aloha,
Sabo
