We first went here with my extended family of 27. They were able to seat us all together with very little notice. My grandfather had been in hospice, and this was the last time many of the family would be able to see him. The waiter was amazing, and they made it easy to forget all the other things going on in our lives. My youngest brother is autistic, and the waiter and manager made sure to get him involved in finding something he wanted to watch on the TV.
The appetizers were really good. I definitely recommend the Guinness french onion soup. They have a fairly extensive beer selection.
The second time we went was for my birthday. It was a group of 10-12. The waitress left much to be desired; there were several mix-ups. The Brussels sprouts were forgotten and then came out almost immediately, but they weren't cooked. The food was quite tasty.

Food is amazing. The service was fast, fun, and professional. There is outdoor seating, basket room, and it's very close to the river. The atmosphere is far, romantic and authenic Irish or seems so. The food specials are quite nice and though it gets busy and a little loud I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table.
Couldn't be happier. We are staying across the street at the Hyatt and decided to try Claddagh as it was supposed to rain and we didn't want to venture too far on foot. They had at least 15 beers on tap and 1/2 price appetizers during happy hour. We had a total of 6 pints and 4 apps and the bill was under $50! Everything was freshly prepared and delicious. Can't wait for our next trip to the Southside of Pittsburgh. The service at the bar was very attentive. I don't understand the bad reviews I just read. We had 2 bartenders checking on us! Great night out.
