I've had the gyro. I've had the meatball sandwich. I've had the "works" pizza. I loved them all! Great little place in Portage. Probably the best pizza in Portage now that I think about it. Wish I lived closer, I would definitely take advantage of delivery and eat from here more often.

Stopped at Sal's on a recommendation of a local. Ordered a Pepperoni and Mushroom pizza. Only took around 10 minutes or so for the food to be ready. Tasted great, sauce was good and the crust was crispy. Fresh, not canned mushrooms. Friendly staff. Next time I am in Portage I will stop again.

I really enjoyed Sal's. I ordered a medium Sal's Special (with added banana peppers) and was really impressed with the crust, which was chewy but not excessively thick. It's a wonder they could support as many toppings as they put on there. With this style of crust, I'm honestly surprised it didn't come with a tavern cut (but that's a personal preference, not a criticism). It would have paired amazingly with a beer and was just the kind quality and comfort I needed.
