Great place for any and everyone, couples or families or just good friends. The food is great, the service is always the best, and I love the relaxed atmosphere! It's a marvel that in these challenging economic times, Firehouse has kept their prices very reasonable. Our favorite dishes include the Cauliflower appetizer, the Romaine with lemon-anchovy vinaigrette (a light caesar sald with subtle anchovy flavor), the wood-grilled hangar steak with crispy potatoes, arugula and grana padano, and the chocolate pots de creme with caramel toppng and hazel nuts. Firehouse adds new items that are well worth trying, but thankfully they also retain the old favorites on the menu! It's a place for casual weekday dining as well as worthy of special occasion dining. And it's a terrific value on top of all that!

So, we were able to book a table on Open Table, awesome app, by the way! We were seated right away, even though we were 15 minutes early. The menu has something for everyone, and since it was happy hour, we migrated to that menu. We opted for the. Usuels, and they were the best we've had! Main course was Marguerita pizza, which. Y wife said was as good as east coast! Our server was attentive and helpful, and always nearby. The best, though, was the dessert! We had the Pot de Crème. I would go there every day just for this dessert, and I am not a sweet tooth! Overall, one of the best meals we've had out in recent memory!

The food here is tremendous. While they do have brick oven fired pizzas that are amazing, they also have more sophisticated fare at reasonable prices that is just heaven in your mouth. The atmosphere is great and the service is on point. It'd been a couple of years since I had been there and they've lost nothing in the interim - still as amazing as my memory of it ever was. We had the steak and the tagliatelle with lamb... it was even better than I'd hoped for.

I love this place. The atmosphere is wonderful and cozy. It reminds me of a mountain cabin that I look forward to going back to. I was worried when the place changed hands that it wouldn't be the same, and it wasn't. There were a few changes at first that I grumbled about, some spotty service with one employee a couple of times, but the food was always good. My husband and I went last night after quite some time and were really impressed with the menu. Our old favorites were still there, but the new items were fantastic and a welcome addition. Service was fantastic, and that grouchy lady that almost ruined our meal twice was absent thankfully. :-) Thanks for such a great meal and service!

My friendive down the street from here so we stopped by for a casual dinner one night. The beets and cauliflower appetizers were very good, but carrots were a bit too salty for my liking. The pasta was also great, and the mushroom pizza looked good but I didn't have a chance to try it! The vibes were a little weird that evening, and the restaurant was very smoky, so not sure what was going on but we still enjoyed our visit.

Best Portland restaurant I've been to in a long time!! The roasted carrots are phenomenal! Well seasoned and perfect texture! The cauliflower with lemon crema is mouth watering! The carbonara was rich and decadent and the flavor profile worked so well. The dinner was light, rather than heavy!

This place has crept into being one of our favorites. My husband managed to book Firehouse for my birthday and 20 some guests here. Thank you Firehouse for being awesome and taking good care of us and making me delicious dirty martinis and putting up with me! You all were awesome the food always amazing and we hope you enjoyed the party as much as we did. Thank you! Everyone enjoyed and raved about the cauliflower, carrots, steak and the torte! Honestly all was perfect.

Friendly, fast service. Seating indoor and outdoor with tables and a bar seating area. They have a tasty selection of offerings such as pizza, pastas, salads and entree items. I started with the focaccia which was cut and toasted and served with an herbed butter. The halibut as my entree was a small portion for the price but it was cooked wonderfully, crispy and well seasoned on the outside while flaky and juicy on the inside. For dessert I ordered the lemon ricotta cake with blueberries and whipped cream, plated beautifully, the cake was decadent.

Firehouse Restaurant is a wood-fired wonderland, where the aroma of smoky goodness meets American culinary excellence. From perfectly charred steaks to wood-fired pizzas, every dish is a flavor-packed delight. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff complete the experience. For an irresistible journey of wood-fired perfection, Firehouse is the place to be.

We arrived earlier than our reservation and table was still occupied, they were kind enough to let us sit in dining area upstairs. Which was much nicer, quieter and we were able to have a conversation without too much noise. I found downstairs to be on a noisier side as we barely heard what host was telling us. Food was amazing. We had special appetiser charred Brussels sprouts with cranberries and blue cheese- such a fantastic taste, I barely able to find well made sprouts and these were the best so far. We then had simple butter pasta for kids and one pasta to share. Kids pasta was delicious, as well as ours. Rich taste, good portions. They make in house cocktails- I’d recommend trying ginger based one (if you are friends with ginger and tolerate some spiciness). We had trouble finding parking though, took us a few rounds around the blocks to find a spot. Great place, I’d be happy to return to try their pizza next time we are visiting Portland.

The arancini verde is unique and delicious and the other menu offerings were quite good as well. Dessert was a miss, sadly, with a dry and dense lemon (pound?) cake that you should surely avoid. Good service and decent atmosphere, though I was expecting a bit more atmosphere from a converted firehouse. Out of the way location too.

We had our reception here and the Firehouse restaurant crew went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time. Our guests kept saying that it was the best wedding food they ever had and the place is so beautiful and has perfect ambient to get the party going. The salmon, ribeye, radicchio and beet salad, and olive cake were some of our best highlights! Highest kudos to Alec who managed the setting, helped us tailor the menu and drinks, and being very accommodating but also shared his expertise to make sure the reception is perfect. The staff and bar crew were so friendly and kind, hustling all night to take care of us. Highly recommended for wedding, reception, rehearsal dinner, or other special events!

Love this place! Had the roasted carrots and bacon wrapped dates for appetizers and we shared a mushroom pizza (added sausage) for dinner. The pizza had a vinaigrette base that made it tangy and delicious. The wines were very nice. I recommend the Barbera. We finished the dinner off with Tiramisu. An all time favorite desert.

Looking for food away from downtown, on our way to our place we were staying for RCCC. I found this place randomly and we decided to try in. On a Sunday night, we didn't have reservations but the bar counter had space (or we could have done outside, covered). The bartender was very friendly and welcoming, I both liked and disliked the limited menu. My husband got the steak, I decided I could do pizza, as I could take it back and eat cold leftovers. 3 choices; margarita, mushroom, sausage. I would have gotten mushroom, but I figured if I was going to splurge... It came with scissors to cut your own slice! I loved that (never seen it done). Crust was thin and tasty. Onions were big pieces but soft, sausage was savory and not spicy. Husband liked his steak, they cooked it to perfection. We didn't order alcohol drinks, which I felt bad about, but we were so tired and still needed to drive. Parking is street parking, and wjikw there are no stairs, I feel it would be difficult for ADA accessibility.

Awesome pizzas, and I have had some great wood fired pizzas all over the country, but these are stellar! Give the Chicken and arugala petso pizza a shot and feel free to thank me afterwards. Italian red wines we're also extremely flavorful and balanced. The coffee was rich and bold, but low in acidity, absolute perfection.

Firehouse is not the restaurant we remember. The drinks were great, the small plates were good, the entrees were small, mediocre, and took a loooooong time to appear. We would have been happier to just order small plates and share

We had a pea and goat cheese vegetarian pizza. It sounds super weird but it was delicious. Good service. Cocktails were a bit expensive.

Cozy open space with an aesthetic fitting it's name, filled with the heavenly smells of wood fired ovens. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, a rare compliment of a careful balance often overlooked. The food was all excellent; pizza, appetizers and dessert all consistently delicious.

My favorite Italian pizza in Portland, absolutely killing it 🔥 Short ribs were amazing, service is always on point, and the old converted firehouse is a treat inside and on their adorable lit patio. I’ll be back asap, would this weekend be too soon?!
