We went on a rainy Saturday not too long after opening. There were plenty of seats but it definitely filled up as we ate over the course of the next hour. Food came out incredibly quickly, but we lingered over the excellent shareables and a well curated tap list. I'm already looking forward to going back to try more dishes! I've been meaning to come here for years, but always ended up at the cart instead. I'm excited to know that the delicious jiang bing will also be available here at the brick and mortar eventually. I'm going to have to come back with a bigger group so that I can eat a little bit of everything!
The noodles had a perfect balance of soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, chili, and scallions. The vegan dumplings with shiitake mushroom and impossible meat were the star for me. Easy to add eggs or tofu to menu items so there are protein options for vegetarians and vegans.
It’s pretty good. I’d give it 4.5.
It’s a tad too oily and salty to my liking. Nothing really bad about it, and the waitress was nice. It’s just a bit different and I honestly can’t describe it. So I still left a 5 star review. I guess it’s more of a personal thing or maybe regional thing to my part of Asian culture??? (if that makes sense)
