Should you stop at Posies? Well, seems all of Kenton sure does on Saturday mornings. Not even the line out the door steered them away! And for good reason, the team behind the register are machines!!
My almond milk latte was made by the time I was finished with the tipping prompt at the register. Seriously pleasant experience, I wish I lived closer.
And I think it goes without saying, considering how busy it was, BUT to be clear the coffee was delicious.
So a lot of places are opening up with 15 dollar avocado toast and 15 dollar acaii bowls, which is fine if that's your thing, but for me I just want an honestly good breakfast sandwich, a bagel or a delightful sweet treat. Posie's is your place if you're looking for that along with a menu that will not set your wallet on fire. Breakfast sandwiches start at around 7-8 dollars and bagels are 3-4, cookies are 3 and their assorted pastries are reasonably priced too. There's a play area removed from the dining room to keep your kids busy without distracting adults working on laptops or having a mellow lunch. Their sandwiches are delicious and great heaping servings. I'm not a coffee drinker but my boyfriend seems to enjoy it. This is a very true Portland cafe and bakery, including lots of plants, old wooden hardwoods that creak and excellent service. It's perfect on a cool rainy day, which of those we have many.
Tasty coffee! Lots of seating areas and outdoor as well. Cafe is nice and cozy and even has a little playroom for the kids. I had the iced vanilla latte with oatmilk. Chocolate croissant was freshly baked. Atmosphere is vibey.
