OK, so I eat here 2-3 times a week. Almost every one of the sandwiches I've eaten here has been of the Dankity Dank Dank variety. The Portland Steak, the Fraaaaaanch Rip, and the pulled pork. Turkey, cheddar and bacon on Daves Killer Bread? OMG yes! However, like a previous reviewer, I was a bit let down by the meatball, which is one of my favorite sandwiches. However, they run a Pizza Sub special that fills that craving nicely on occasion. Ear here. The people rock!

Mundane Meatballs. Its unfortunate that the Meatballs in my Sub were obviously of the processed / frozen variety. Because everything else; the Breads, Deli Meat, (Boars Head!) Veggies, and pricing were all very much to our liking. Service was good, though slightly scatterbrained, with one of the gals making me two 6" Meatball Subs even though I only ordered one. Still, Id return to try the Pastrami or French Dip as my wife really enjoyed her 'East Side Italian' and the place has a down to earth vibe that is unusual for a Hawthorne eatery.
Grade: B (build your own Meatballs damn it!!)
