One of Portland's best places for food and beer. In a city saturated with amazing restaurants and beer, LTH stands out for a couple reasons. First, while their 14(ish) taps aren't as many as other places in town, they clearly know what they're doing in order to keep most of the beer not only local, but the best options from some of Portland's best local breweries. The few non-local beers to be found on draft are consistently from some of New England's best craft breweries, as well as a select few elite beers from further away. Their food is varied, but consistently fantastic. You can bring almost anyone in here and they'll find a dish they love. Finally, their service is top notch. Happy high quality employees providing great service. Be forewarned though, this isn't a "hidden gem." Locals know all about it and flock here, so you may have to wait for a table, but rest assured the wait will be rewarded.
This place had the best burger I've ever had in my life. Mac and cheese was very good too. Service was excellent... We sat outside... great for people watching ...highly recommend this place ...it is a little pricey but well worth it
Our 1st night in Portland. The restaurant is in walking distance from our hotel, and it had been a long day. We were so lucky to be drawn to this place. A wonderful experience starting with our greeter straight through to the server that accepted our payment. A relaxing but fresh atmosphere, great decor, what a menu! Gary had the brisket and I enjoyed fish and chips. Yum! The best pickles ever. Gary enjoyed his local craft beer - twice. I enjoyed the ice cold water with the glass bottle left on the table. We shared an orange/fudge brownie with dulce de leche. Couldn't eat it all.
Staff was impeccable. Food was absolutely delicious. If we get back to Portland, we'll return to the Little Tap House. In the meantime, you should go!
