Worth another shot -. I am changing my review from terrible to good, I had an issue on Friday night (not with the food or service which was fine) but with a bar patron. The owner, Rick Dugan was notified and called me directly and is in the process of resolving the incident. I found him to be genuinely apologetic and professional which is greatly appreciated. I plan on giving then another try the next time I am in DC.
What an absolutely amazing little place. Terrible location, and cramped inside. But good things come to those who are patient!
The food, the service, & the desert is outstanding! Highly highly recommend the seafood. I can’t recall the last time I had Rockfish this amazing, honestly don’t think I’ve had better grilled potatoes in the past few years. Literally nothing was disappointing.
Finally, for what it’s worth, the decor is perfect. The owner and her husband seem very pleasant as well. Everything is made in house, and the staff seem genuinely happy.
Good luck finding a seat (esp during the cold months), but if you do, it’s worth every minute you waited!
My wife and I love oysters when they are done right! Along with our friends, we enjoyed the grilled oysters along with other items on the menu. Recommend getting the drunken oysters and the oysters Rockefeller they are phenomenal! If you do brunch get the Maryland hash and/or the lobster hash you can thank me later!
