My wife and I went Tuesday 11:30 a.m. Hoping to catch breakfast, and we did. There was a lot of other people but still plenty of room to be seated comfortably. I hadn't been in a couple of years, but the Eggs Benedict and mimosas were just as good or better than I remembered. The staff was excellent, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy. The bill was fair so we even left with a bottle of French imported House wine. Literally the only complaints about the experience was listening to two older women complain about how their salads were too big. They literally complained about getting too much food for the money they spent. Also some Jack hole, decided to etch graffiti on the glass of nice artwork in the men's room, but you certainly can't blame the restaurant for that.
It's kind of a long story but for the Love of God please do not do away with the Blueberry griddle pancake special. It is literally the only thing I can eat. My stomach is paralyzed. Again long story. But I have found that is one meal I can tolerate. For the past two months I have been able to eat. That's not always the case. I actually look forward to eating breakfast for the first time in who knows how long. My youngest son dragged me there for breakfast a year ago but I literally couldn't tolerate anything on the menu. I'm glad he tried again earlier this year. He ordered the pancakes to-go. His order never made it home. We both devoured it in house. I promise you I'm not making this up. My disease has flipped my world upside down. But I prayed and prayed for a break in all of this madness. My prayers were answered. And then I met Lindsay. She is by far the best server I have ever had. I was raised in the service industry and I worked in customer service for a large corporation for 14 years before I got sick. So I know when I am being treated well. She's not only a wonderful server but she is a genuinely good person. Actually everyone I have encountered at the Reno, Nv location is to be noted. They all look out for one another trying to make sure every customer is taken care of. Even during their peak hours they don't break a sweat. I know this is a lot to ask, but if possible could you keep my favorite breakfast and put it permanently on the menu. It has given me a better quality of life. And that's not something I take for granted. Also I would really love if you would acknowledge Lindsay from the top down. She is too precious. Please take good care of her. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way. She has a room full of regulars on the daily.
I hosted my best friends bridal shower here and it was amazing. We had a private intimate room and the service was excellent. Everyone went out of their way to help with anything we needed and we even had custom menus. Not to mention the mimosas were so delicious and so was the food. I HIGHLY recommend mimis cafe.
