LOVE LOVE LOVE Stock Exchange!
Not a very well known dive bar I think is what makes this place such a great place.
The bar itself is only open 4 - until ? Monday through Friday. The cafe 7:30 - until 4 Monday through fridays. This is because it is located in a heavy business oriented part of the city. The prices are the best around for both!
The bartender Kate is what makes the bar the absolute best - and then of course her regulars (like every bar has them). Kate provides little snacks for her patrons and knows everyones drink and has them ready when she sees you walk in. Her and the regulars often watch jeopardy which ads so many interesting and intelligent conversations to apposed to the typical dive bar discussions. Although there are no games to play it is never crowded and always tables available where people often play their own card games.
The restaurant - which is cafeteria style is also very good. There is a deli style wrap and sandwich station, the hot grill from hot subs to chicken fingers and fries to even garbage plates, the soup and salad station and other little food surrounding them all. The line goes quickly, portion sizes average to large and prices inexpensive.
Anyone who works around this area must try both :)
Food is excellently priced and quality is great.
After 5, no food but the bar is open and has a Cheers vibe to it. A bunch of friendly regulars and some random imports mixed in from time to time. Drinks are more than reasonable considering the hotel bar across the street.
Here before Bandits/Knighthawks game for khawks pregame party. Good food, cheap beer, fun family-friendly atmosphere. Very cool! (Couldn't find where I was supposed to park, so ended up parking on the street around the corner and walking - but it worked out ok.) Will be back next season, hopefully with some friends this time!
