The food was amazing. The plantains were a sweet start to the meal, followed by perfectly fried chicken; soft, moist, with a delightful crunch to the breading. The Waakye was a lovely blend of rice, beans, spices, and a choice of tender meats. I sprang for the goat, and was not disappointed. It was a juicy treat. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food, and the staff are very attentive and kind. If you don't know what to try, ask for recommendations!
A really nice an authentic restaurant. The portions are large. Be sure to ask for recommendations on what to order. There is a separate menu for lunch, dinner, and weekends. There seems to be more choices on the weekends. Try to go easy on the spicy level, about a 5 should be good for most people. The restaurant is somewhat small but we had no issues getting seats.
What a wonderful surprise to find a West African restaurant here in Rochester NY!! Delicious food, wonderful service, great chef! This is as authentic as can be. I was taken right back to the West African coast with one bite of that delicious Jollof. Thank you for the wonderful delicious meal.
