I wish this place had been there when I was an RIT undergrad. It will take more trips to get a better feel for the huge vairity but today was a great start. The Texas Cubano was delicious but very messy to eat. The pork loin works a little better with traditional Cuban bread but the Texas toast was a nice twist and the pulled pork was really excellent. The staff was polite and efficient and the place was clean and inviting. I don't live in Rochester anymore but I plan to stop in again on another visit.
This place is amazing and in my opinion, the best tasting BBQ joint in Rochester; if you gravitate towards the savory rather than the sweet and tangy. We had driven by many times and finally gave it a try. It surprised us for sure. The pork ribs, brisket, chicken fried steak and sausage were everything we wanted. Side items were delicious as well.
Great food, excellent pricing, legit BBQ. They have great menu with excellent choices and everything I've had so far is good. Staff is hard-working but super friendly. I like that their food does not come with sauce on it, so you can put your own sauce or concoction on whatever you order. They have excellent lunch specials. I will definitely be coming back here for more barbecue.
On top of all that, this place has specials for first responders on the first Tuesday of every month. It's great to see a place that backs the blue!!
