This place was okay for breakfast. There's no waiters, just servers, so you just order your coffee and food at the counter, find a table, and wait for it. I know it's probably hard to find staff nowadays so they've had to adapt. Very nice area of town to visit. I'm sure in the summer it's plenty warm and outdoor seating is very busy. I got the Santa Fe(I think?) It was a southwestern style crepe, but any of them look delicious.
An incredible cafe with a diverse selection of sweet and savory crepes, coffees, soups, and sandwiches. They have a ton of charm in every aspect of the business from the decor, to the customer service, and the high quality food. I’ve tried both sweet and savory crepes and they were both excellent.
The Provence mixed a little bit of both with brie cheese and grapes. The cookie butter and strawberry crepe was sweet and indulgent in all the right ways. The crepe batter is flavorful and not too heavy. They have an extensive selection of coffees, but as I’m not a coffee drinker I tried a chai tea and it did not disappoint. While I was eating I noticed that almost every order coming out of the kitchen had a cup of tortilla soup on nearly every tray. I went back up to order it because I was so curious. This was one of the best tortilla soups I’ve ever had. Well seasoned and incredibly flavorful, made with fresh ingredients. No matter what time it is, if you’re here and they have it, you need to get it. They did mention the soup is only available Monday through Friday. It came with a choice of bread and I got the jalapeño cornbread and it was a delight. It had some heat and it was nice to dip in the soup.
The restaurant has both indoor seating and a patio section for the warmer months. You walk up and order at a counter where you are given a number and a server will bring your food out. Both times I came here, the food came out hot and fresh in under 10 minutes. The folks who work here have put a lot of thought and energy into the recipes, the execution, and the service. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves crepes or is trying them for the first time. There are a lot of great options and enough to keep you coming back for the menu staples.
Got the lemon curd and Santa Fe crepes. Loved the Santa Fe crepe - wish it had a bit more chorizo but the sauce and crepe themselves were delicious. The lemon curd crepe had blueberries inside them which I loved but it was also made with a lot of butter. Hopefully the quantity of butter is adjusted in the future so the lemon taste can shine!
