It’s a nice old town style restaurant. It is red all over, thus the name. The service was prompt, and staff very friendly. We ordered a steak 🥩 and it didn’t take long, however, it could have been warmer. The texture and flavors were on point, but It seemed to get cold half way and that took away part of the enjoyment of the meal. We were surprised that although the menu states a stake is served with a side dish , they charged extra for it. This fact gives a disappointing effect before leaving. It’s not the amount, it the surprise.
this was our very first time visiting. We were greeted and seated right away. our waitress so so amazing I wish I could remember her name. Every meal come with a house salad, it was okay not my favorite but the dressing was good. The waitress brought us a few rolls and omg they were amazing. Let’s just say I took some
home with us. they were absolutely delicious and they have plenty of delicious butter. the drinks weee also good and my husband enjoyed his 32 oz beer. I got the 6 oz sirloin with the loaded baked potato. the steak was a tiny over cooked for medium but it was still delicious. The baked potato was one of my favorite things and will definitely be back for another one. I would get the steak medium rare next time though. my husband tried the chop steak 12 oz and he said it was delicious, he also tried the steak fries and got a loaded baked potato as well. we had an amazing time celebrating my best friends birthday and definitely recommend giving this place a try. we will definitely be going back soon.
The Little Red Barn is the first authentic Texas steakhouse we have ever been to and the experience was truly unlike anything we've been to. It is popular with the locals and is recognized as a historic business by the Texas Historical Commission.
The service is incredibly well organized and fast, we had our salads and our drink order before we even had a chance to sit down!
The menu was simple, the food was great and filling. However, the breading on the fried chicken was plain (as it was meant to dip in the gravy). My boyfriend enjoyed his steak and I enjoyed the large ranch dressing that was served.
