Au Revoir French Bistro was a fun experience. I tried a few things for the first time in my life, which I really enjoy. I had Escargot served with bread and seasoning. It was good tasting but I would rather have the Calamari, which I also ordered. I also had Bone Marrow served "in" the bone with seasoning. It was gelatinous on my fork so I was skeptical but it sure did taste good. Then there were the usual suspects. Lamb Chops, Duck, Salmon, and European White Sea Bass. All of the food was delicious. The place was busier than usual and a little short staffed but the owner was picking up the slack. 10 out of 10, I recommend!
I don't know a lot about French cuisine but we liked the two entrees we ordered and cleaned out our plates. We ordered two entrees only since it was lunch time and we don't usually over order .All the food was delicious to us and the service was very courteous and friendly. The ambience was pretty relaxed and casual as expected for a bistro. We will be back to try the other items of their menu .
We made a reservation for 5/5:30pm on a Saturday. We were the first patrons there and within the next hour or two there was a full restaurant.
The Plateau de fromages (cheese & accoutrements platter) was fun to share. We also shared a Salade du bistro. The candied nuts in the salad were amazing!
We ordered various entrees and they did not disappoint! Everything tasted so good! The meat was not dry and the sauces enhanced how well the meat tasted. The veggies were cooked to perfection. We also all enjoyed the lavender French fries.
Again, we tried every dessert off the menu to share. The Bread Pudding was a favorite while the Chocolate Mousse was too rich for most. The Crème Brûlée was perfect and the Peach Melba was a nice surprise.
It was my husband’s birthday and our server came out with a single scoop of chocolate mousse for him with a candle in it. We really enjoyed our visit and will come again.
