The general manager, Tobin, and the chef and server went out of their way to ensure my daughter with celiac disease could eat safely. They made it a great night that my daughter, who can hardly eat anywhere, enjoyed. Our family goes here for all major celebrations and today they went above and beyond. Hector was an amazing chef and the food was some of the best I’ve had at Benihana.

It was a Birthday treat for my Mom. The wait was a bit long though but when the chef started to cook and serve as fast as he can while entertaining us it was worth it. Food was great! We all had fun and..... another round of Sake pls.

Have been here many times over the years. Last two times not as good as in the past had always been the service. But last night our food was not up to par. To much salt & pepper on everything and our shrimp was over cooked. Will try again in a couple of months if no improvement guess we will go somewhere different.

Great place, with amazing ambiance, great foods and very nice staff. The only down size is the lack of free parking and the wait even though we made a reservation. Otherwise, it is perfect

They have a good formula here, we got the steak and chicken and it was delicious. They put on a good show. Is it worth $43 per person? For onion soup, salad, fried rice, and meat and veggies? Then we had ice cream.

The overall experience was good and suitable for a date night. The food was delicious, I ordered the Sumo rolls and my girlfriend had salmon noodles and veggies. The hot sake was good as well. The service was decent overall but we didn’t receive our appetizers until after the entree was already served. And the chef was cool and entertaining, but I had to inquire about my girlfriend’s food being cooked so our meals were served about 15 minutes apart. We just shared my meal until hers was served. The atmosphere was cool and I would say the only downside to sitting at the “chef’s table” in front of the grill, is limited space. There’s other parties at the table too so there’s not much elbow room to position your plates and eating comfortably. Good food though 😋

Benihana is very high-end feeling resturant without the high-end price!! They offer Valet for only 8 dollars and also have amazing staff! The food is so so so good. I love it every time I go! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a family dinner to have! It's magnificent!! Thank you to all the staff at this location!!

Hands down some of the best fried rice I have had! I would come here again just for that fried rice! Actually came here for my birthday because I had to $30 off coupon and I'm so glad I found this place. Portion sizes are huge! My husband and I split the entree of the Spicy Hibachi Chicken and we both went full! The chicken was freaking amazing! So perfectly cooked and juicy and properly flavorful. Not too spicy at all. Fried rice was beautiful as well. Quite a large portion size of this as well. We asked for extra veggies because the veggies were actually quite little; Also only zucchini and mushroom so we would have appreciated a little more variety there. Soup and salad that came at the start but also very simple but delicious on their own. We also asked for the pan fried Chicken Gyoza appetizer. Came with I think six appetizers and they were quite nice. Not stomach feeling or anything and we didn't even need to have ordered these considering how much food there was in the entree. Got the Green Tea Ice Cream for dessert and it was unexpectedly nice! Smooth and just perfectly sweet. Disappeared real quick! Ambience of the place was also perfect. A lot of tables there and it seemed like a lot of people will celebrating their birthdays. Everything was quite a show as well. The chefs actually making the food was so skilled with the knives and everything they were using. Definitely recommend this place even for a good entertainment session haha.

A good place to go with family or a big group. Their service is good the servers and chiefs are friendly and interactive. It is a bit on the pricey side as far as what you get, I feel like it should be less but it is in a busy area as it’s right by a hotel. I would recommend.

Always hit up the teppanyaki table but today did it a little differently and was happy with the outcome! The rolls were delicious and table service was great! Next time I want some of their famous chicken hibachi rice I'll just drop in on a regular seating table! You want regret it

Love it here. Been coming here for as long as I can imagine. Today I had the best service ever. Came in for my brothers bday dinner with family, Fluffy (his nickname) was able to provide A1 customer service, food was delicious, and laughed all night! Loved it!!

The food was delicious, the service great, the hibachi chef a delight. (Too bad we were seated next to a trio of Karen's. If you're going to act like jerks, JUST STAY HOME!!!). The wait time was unreasonable, even with a reservation, and considering it was Christmas Day. Management needs to plan staffing and bookings much better in the future in order to garner repeat customers. It doesn't matter how good the food is if you have to wait forever.

Benihana is an institution. I can't say how many great memories i've had here, birthdays, get togethers, dates.. any occasion here is an absolute blast and a highlight of the week. The staff here are always so friendly, the atmosphere is fun and inviting, and the food is simply awesome. Awesome place for locals and tourists alike, as long as there is a Benihana in San Diego i'll be a happy guy.

12-3-22, Saturday, around 8am hubby and I randomly decided to stop by and try this spot, which I tried 20 years ago. It was a nice size crowd, but we were seated right away. We opted to watch the chef cook, so we had to share the table with three other couples that we did not know. We ordered a small bowl of a mushroom type soup, salad with ginger dressing, a small 4 oz size salmon fillet, sauteed veggies, and a nice size bowl of chicken fried rice. The water and food (some type of complete entree) were delicious, but the price was ridiculous for such a small piece of salmon. The chef was so cool and entertaining. This place is really expensive, but I would come here again for entertainment purposes as well as expensive quality food.

Food was good. Chef put on a good show and met dietary restrictions at the table. The food was good. Our server must have had an off night, and was not at her best. Otherwise, it was a lovely experience.
