One of the best tasting chickens I ever had in North America (no exaggerating). Authentic Cantonese flavor guaranteed! A little pricey for the food, but still a great place for tourists like me

A FOODIE’S RECOMMENDATION FOR late breakfast (early brunch) AUTHENTIC DIM SUM. Yes, go at opening time and feast on fresh-off-pots dim sum, quite inexpensive for CA.🤩🤩 🤩 The restaurant is a banquet room, design for groups to feast on authentic delicious Chinese food. The whole place is pleasant, with a full bar and a performer’s stage (apparently on Friday evenings). Service is excellent and proprietor goes around tables charming diners. It’s dim sum as it should be: selections of steamed, fried, baked goodies as only Chinese chefs can. The menu (dim sum and main) are pictorially enhanced, meant to entice both the connoisseurs and the uninitiated to Cantonese / Hongkongnese cuisine. Dim sum - go for all of you can. The carts make along and pick what you want. I’m partial to the: 1. Bean curd roll - this is what plant based food is !😎😎😎 2. Beef tripe with scallions-what a stunning delicious concoction 🤩🤩🤩 3. Shrimp sui mai - best of sui mai’s👍👍👍 4. Shrimp dumplings - just my favorite dumpling 😁😁😁 5. Shrimp rice roll - another scrumptious way to glorify shrimp 👍👍👍 6. Beef short ribs as only a Chinese chef can make, tender juicy and lovely seasoned.🤩🤩🤩 Oh the Pu erh hot tea made everything worth savoring. Oh did I say the main menu had a list of lovely Cantonese and Hong Kong favorites… these will be for the next visit.

I have visited many Chinese restaurants in my life and I must say this one is special. Thursday is karaoke and dance nights. The food is fresh, tasty and well presented. Music is very nice and smooth. My wife and I were visiting San Diego on business and were delighted with this place. A must to visit and we will definitely repeat out visit.

We were craving some authentic dim sum and checked this place out upon recommendation from a UCSD friend. It bills itself as Hong Kong style dim sum, which I can't deny or confirm, but I can say it was super tasty. The seafood items tasted very fresh. The steamed pork bao had delicious sweet spices. Nothing was greasy. The service was attentive and the manager very helpful in recommending some additional menu items to try. This is a great break from the tourist spots and the ubiquitous Mexican restaurants (which are great too) in the San Diego area.

I really loved this place. We were randomly here late on a Tuesday night - had these delicious chive dumplings that were just amazingly fresh. There was a Vietnamese party going on and I would totally come back for the Friday night Jazz or weekend dim sum! Did not enjoy the mapo tofu - it wasn’t spicy and was this very soft with peas. A tofu dish but not mapo tofu for sure.

Decent dim sum and dishes! If you want dim sum north of Convoy, this is one of the go-to place. We went for a Friday lunch. It was not super crowded. Plenty of parking compared to Convoy area. Service was adequate. Our dim sum cravings were satisfied.

REAL Peking duck done right- shaved crispy top, but they don’t shave it in front of you anymore (previous owners did). But still very good and service is also very good. Definitely recommend and will come back for the jazz night!

Best dim sum I’ve ever had in San Diego. I like their roast duck, which was also the best roast duck I had in SD. The price was totally affordable. We paid less than $20 each. Also, the tea refill was very quick and frequent. Would definitely come again!

Was in San Diego, and lunch was needed. Talk about a surprise. Hong Kong style dim sum. Yup 👍. It reminded a bit like Maxums in HKG. It is a treat that I will revisit. I revisted on 29 October, and the food is just as delicious as first visit. It's the real real. Make it yours too. Was back again in SD today (2/19/22), and just had to check again. You know, quality control. Welp, as good as ever! Damn good Dim Sum is served here. Found myself here again (2 July 23), and yum yum 😋. New dim sum was delicious.

Really solid dim sum—you can tell everything is made fresh. We ordered pan fried dumplings and it took 10 min to come out because it was being freshly steamed and fried. High quality ingredients and kind service. Would definitely recommend.

Been wanting Dim Sum and this place fits the bill nicely. The cart moves through frequently enough, if something you want isn't there you can place an order for your table. The turnip cake and beef rice roll were made to order and they were very delicious. This place can definitely handle large parties. I will be back with my family.
