One of the best tasting chickens I ever had in North America (no exaggerating). Authentic Cantonese flavor guaranteed! A little pricey for the food, but still a great place for tourists like me
A FOODIE’S RECOMMENDATION FOR late breakfast (early brunch) AUTHENTIC DIM SUM. Yes, go at opening time and feast on fresh-off-pots dim sum, quite inexpensive for CA.🤩🤩 🤩
The restaurant is a banquet room, design for groups to feast on authentic delicious Chinese food. The whole place is pleasant, with a full bar and a performer’s stage (apparently on Friday evenings). Service is excellent and proprietor goes around tables charming diners.
It’s dim sum as it should be: selections of steamed, fried, baked goodies as only Chinese chefs can. The menu (dim sum and main) are pictorially enhanced, meant to entice both the connoisseurs and the uninitiated to Cantonese / Hongkongnese cuisine.
Dim sum - go for all of you can. The carts make along and pick what you want.
I’m partial to the:
1. Bean curd roll - this is what plant based food is !😎😎😎
2. Beef tripe with scallions-what a stunning delicious concoction 🤩🤩🤩
3. Shrimp sui mai - best of sui mai’s👍👍👍
4. Shrimp dumplings - just my favorite dumpling 😁😁😁
5. Shrimp rice roll - another scrumptious way to glorify shrimp 👍👍👍
6. Beef short ribs as only a Chinese chef can make, tender juicy and lovely seasoned.🤩🤩🤩
Oh the Pu erh hot tea made everything worth savoring.
Oh did I say the main menu had a list of lovely Cantonese and Hong Kong favorites… these will be for the next visit.
I have visited many Chinese restaurants in my life and I must say this one is special. Thursday is karaoke and dance nights. The food is fresh, tasty and well presented. Music is very nice and smooth. My wife and I were visiting San Diego on business and were delighted with this place. A must to visit and we will definitely repeat out visit.
